so here's just like a thing, a thing I will be doing...

I ship Bucktommy... which is canon because it has been canon... it doesn't have to be *actively* canon to be canon... being canonically exes still makes it a canon ship.

but also, regardless of whether or not the show does endgame bucktommy or anymore bucktommy, bucktommy is my OTP for Buck. It just is. This is where, no matter what happens, I'm presently, and will happily forever, fandom canon ship the shit out of bucktommy.

Because this is one of the ways shipping works.

Your ship does not have to be canon in any sense of the word to be worthy.

The show can do whatever the fuck it wants with Buck's love life. For me, it's Tommy.

And I won't be an asshole to any future love interest actors if it's not Tommy because that's just folks doing their job, telling the story on the page. Ain't nothing to do with me and my shipping business.

shipping characters who are just friends in canon is more than okay but what’s annoying is when people take screenshots of them touching and say “friends don’t do that!”. i hate to break it to you but friends do hug and hold hands and cuddle. saying ‘friends don’t do that’ is reenforcing the idea that physical touch is reserved for lovers

i feel like nobody has NOTPs anymore. like if you hate a ship now it has to be for some deep moral reason and you have to justify it to everyone what happened to just not liking stuff that isnt inherently bad but just because you personally think it sucks

I'm going to need people to stop comparing Buck looking for his own place to being homeless. These are not the same thing. These are not even remotely the same thing.

I actually liked a lot of all of this these last several episodes, but my nitpick -- my personal nitpick -- is that somehow Buck and Athena never have a scene about Bobby's death and their grief.

We spend all this time of the show establishing that Bobby is the dad Buck didn't have, and that Bobby "brought one kid into the relationship", and then we don't get a single moment between Athena and Buck beyond Buck calling Athena down to say goodbye to/be with Bobby at the end.

That specific oversight is, to me, glaring and ludicrous.
