Watching my friends and family complain about writing is always fun beacouse of the fact they have the answers but dont want them.

'I dont know where i want the story to go from here :('

You where taught to makes a rising action and summary in elementary school.

And i use that to solve all of my problems.

Cant think of what to do for this chapter, write a summary for what could happen and work from there. Touble deciding what next? Look at the book triangle you made at the start.

The only things it doesnt solve is writes block and indecision. At which i day dream, write it over and over again or give up!

I have to say that this is hard for me as some who doesnt watch show. Most of thw time the BOOK main character is my favorite but rarely are the movie/show main characters. And i dont read a lot of book books where the main character is a girl, as i find the west just cant write them.

For most lesbean books Ive read the main character is either my favorite or her wife is.

For shows kora is my favorite and for movies its rumi. I cant think of any other show ive watched with a lady main character who i liked/ was actually the main character.

I have a lottle murder drones au ive been working on feturing my favorite side characters, Tessa and J! Im pretty sure they have an equal amout on lines 🫠.

Essentially J beveloped the solver after the finnal battle but due to her hatred of CYN its vegan(pescatarian really). Coper 9 has no plants and no amout of world edit would change that, so J and the solve go back in time. This is a bad idea.

J has masive PTSD and has flash backs/ episodes. The solver and Tessa work together to reset her so that she has the memories but they lack the emotions atrached to them, as in she has videos.

After that the story follows mother elliots down fall, James giving up and grooming Tessa as his heir, and J and Tessa gwtting closer.

Something scratching in the walls does this cool thing where Tessa gets jealous of her past self so i think it would be cool for Tessa to watch J's past and over analyze thier relationship.

J isnt allowed to look at most of her memories as there is no therapist capable/willing to handle killing all of humanity with your ex owner/best friends skin.

The soil testing equipment on Curiosity makes a buzzing noise and the pitch of the noise changes depending on what part of an experiment Curiosity is performing, this is the way Curiosity sings to itself.

So some of the finest minds currently alive decided to take incredibly expensive important scientific equipment and mess with it until they worked out how to move in just the right way to sing Happy Birthday, then someone made a cake on Curiosity’s birthday and took it into Mission control so that a room full of brilliant scientists and engineers could throw a birthday party for a non-autonomous robot 225 million kilometres away and listen to it sing the first ever song sung on Mars*, which was Happy Birthday.

This isn’t a sad story, this a happy story about the ridiculousness of humans and the way we love things. We built a little robot and called it Curiosity and flung it into the star to go and explore places we can’t get to because it’s name is in our nature and then just because we could, we taught it how to sing.

That’s not sad, that’s awesome.

*this is different from the first song ever played on mars (Reach For The Stars by Will.I.Am) which happened the year before, singing is different from playing

I love how everyone defending jinu is only addressing him being a murderer. But no one can defend his abuse, hes literally at minimum 2 of the five examples of emotional abuse when you google it.

Just saw someone get jumped on in a youtube comment section because they said aang had to have fought other air benders inorder to become a master air bender.

Now the opposition said that air benders qhere pasifics and as such would not have taught there benders to fight...

Did no one else watch the air temple episode? Damg those skulls just happened to fall there. Gosh gally the amount of friendly fire that day, sozins commit must have made them really powerfull!

Jokes asside having a bunch of 12 yr olds fight each other does not sound like somthibg the monks would do, openly. Again the air temple episode in the firsr season showed that they did fight, in child appropriate ways. The flash backs also show they were taught how to flee in child appropriate ways.

What im saying is that aang was 100% taught how to fight other air benders, just in much lower stakes. He might be a decade or so out of practice but if that was a normal air bender there would have been no fight.

i think there is a cultural blind spot here. and i'm not saying in the sense that korean culture normalizes sister kink.

unnie may mean sister in a simple 1 to 1 translation, but the word also has other social meanings. asian culture has a very strong 'respect your elders' culture. using unnie doesn't immediately translate to being family or related at all.

i'm not asian, but my culture has similar customs. we will call older men and women uncle and aunt all the time, doesn't mean we have any sort of relationship, superficial or not. we don't have the custom to call other mr and mrs in a day to day situation.

Not oy are family titles commonly used as nicknames or for friends where im from, they are done the same way on the internet too!

So currently I answer to my full first name (which I usually introduce myself with) as well as two nicknames/diminutives plus my last name when people mistake it for a first name. There are two or three other nicknames I've also gone by in the past. I'm perfectly fine with this, or neutral at minimum-- I have a common name and have had to be flexible with how I'm distinguished for my whole life. I also don't feel a deep and fundamental connection of my name with my identity, though I think going by another name entirely would confuse me.

A number of friends have been appalled at me being called names I don't say are my name. Which is really weird to me, although I'd go to battle for anyone else who was getting either deadnamed or called something they didn't want. But this perspective seems surprisingly common!

How do you feel about being called something other than the name you introduce yourself with?

I saw this video about a doctor who performed an MRI on a 5 year old and discovered she essentially had “brain damage” from excessive iPad use, as the white matter in her brain couldn’t form properly due to an understimulated environment.

Hmm it’s almost like there’s supposed to be adult figures responsible for monitoring her screen time and making sure she develops properly… certainly this isn’t the result of neglect at the hands of her parents…

Translation: This 5 year old is developmentally impaired by neglectful parents who used an iPad as a stand-in for social and environmental stimulation / interaction for hours at a time during critical early stages of child development. The iPad is the cop-out.

Translation: Parents aren’t making the conscious effort to help their children develop necessary skills and letting iPads raise them.

When are people going to realize the iPads and whatnot are the instruments through which the neglect is happening through and not the cause? How the fuck do you let your child have such a severe lack of physical strength in their hands that they can’t hold a pencil properly?

People will see a study suggesting children with higher screen times have poorer or negative developmental outcomes and immediately say it’s the screens causing this, and not the more likely fact that higher screen time = less engagement time with their environment, physical exercise, parents, family, and their peers, all of which are NECESSARY for a healthy upbringing as a social species.

It’s like saying a dog who was kept in a cage all its life and left with atrophied muscles was damaged by the cage, and not by the fact its owners were too lazy to play or walk their dog in order for its muscles to build properly. The cage is the instrument of neglect and the owners are the perpetrators, in the same way parents are the perpetrators and weaponizing screen time as an excuse and painting themselves as helpless bystanders.
