wow come for my neck like that
three older motorcyclists pulled up behind my car when i was at a stoplight and they were just. investigating. so shocked and confused. grappling with the punchline, struggling, grasping for some semblance of understanding, only to find none. i love gen z humor dumbfounding old men.
i never mentioned that this is my bumper sticker
This is a very Boards of Canada-like song; the band and this album was a chance find and it is amazing, and this song is probably the best on it. Enjoy.
I've been re-listening to BoC's "Music Has The Right To Children", and every time I listen to it I fall more in love with it. This is an especially smooth, down tempo piece from it, one of my favourites.
Off her 2nd album Post, this song is a little sparce, but Bjork creates such a tense, yet calming atmosphere. The lyrics are quite deep, without overloading you, getting stuck in your head. A great song to keep on repeat.
(Sorry I've been away, I'm trying to get into the swing of things again)
'dlp 4' - William Basinski
This one is incredible. The loop itself is just stunning, and the degrading noise is amazing, towards the end there is basically nothing left.
'dlp 3' - William Basinski
Yet another masterpiece. A must listen to.
'Dlp 1.3' - William Basinski
This is from the collection "The Disintegration Loops", an ambient set recorded in the 1990's by Basinski from an easy-listening radio station, looped until no life is left, and the tapes themselves started to degrade, producing a very rough, slowly dying ambient loop. This one is one of my favourites, the end on a 3-parter, where the tape starts to show how degraded it slowly is becoming. Love it.
'Mine' - Mirrorring.
This collaboration between Tiny Vipers & Grouper is amazing, the whole album is worth a look into. I gave it a middle 9/10 in my blog, and this is one of my favorite songs off it. Definitely a song to listen to while cuddling a pillow.
'Pneumonia' - Bjork
Listen to this in the rain. You won't regret it.
'(They Call Me) Jimmy' - Tim Hecker.
Listen to this song on the beach. At night. During a storm. It is such a thrilling experience.
'Replica' - Oneohtrix Point Never
One of those artists which I have sitting in my iTunes but haven't gotten around to listening to them. Until Now. And I am glad I did.
'Night Flight to your Heart' - Tim Hecker.
Just let it immerse you in Hecker's synths, while wake up to Jetone's beats. Perfection.
'Ashtray Wasp' - Burial.
Burial. Enough said. The only artist who understands dubstep & explores to its fullest content. P.S. As soon as you get to 9:22... Thank me later.
'Whitecaps of White Noise II' - Tim Hecker
The last part to one of the best sections of Harmony in Ultraviolet, and really helps pull this section off together. Mr. Hecker is pure genius
'Dayvan Cowboy' - Boards of Canada.
I just stumbled upon this band and holy fuck, I am so glad I did. This should be earth's national anthem.
