I am to never shut up about the world ends with you. I finally got the original ds game at a reasonable price.

I had to delete the previous owners save data but im glad i checked it first, it was a fossil. JUNE 21ST 2008. That was its last save time, ALMOST 18 YEARS AGO. Not anymore tho….sorry.

Its crazy tho cuz i havent got a ‘new’ ds game in almost 10 years, i think the last time i got a game was in like 2017 according to my 3ds activity log, so that was also a crazy realisation aswell.

Anyway. Anyone reading totally needs to check out the world ends with you series if u havent. Its such a unique game with such an incredible soundtrack across both games and has fun character design. Everyone is so full of ‘swag’- their words, not mine…

idk what other disabled person needs to hear this but if you need someone to do something for you that would be very difficult for you to do but very easy for them to do, that is a small favor. you dont have to feel gratitude and guilt at scale based on how hard it would be for you to do it disabledly

also a more general point: you dont have to feel guilty when people do things for you. if someone is offering, or if you ask and they say yes, that means they want to do it. if for some reason they are pretending to be okay with it, that is not your fault, it is theirs. this goes for things you are incapable of doing, things that would be difficult for you to do, and even things that you could do without difficulty. even if youre not disabled. if someone cares about you they should be willing to help you out in the ways that they are able to.

Friendly reminder that it’s ok to be sad about your disability. It’s ok to grieve what you once had. It’s ok to wish for things you never had. Society tells us we have to be these constantly positive, inspiring individuals, but we’re just normal humans. While I don’t suggest wallowing in misery 24/7, it’s ok to give yourself space to feel those tough emotions, rather than suppressing them and pushing them down,

The Odyssey but retold as a low-stakes modern adventure of one guy out with his girlfriend leaving the bar with his buddies to do just one (1) simple thing real quick, it'll take like 15 minutes tops, he'll be right back, but then some bullshit happens and the trip keeps getting more complicated as more bullshit keeps happening while he just tries to get back to the bar because he promised his girlfriend that he'd get back and he knows that she's still there because she told him she'd wait there.

And by the time he finally gets back it's almost 3 am and the bar is about to close while she's sitting there stone cold sober, surrounded by 5 drunk guys unsuccessfully trying to convince her to give up on waiting for him and go home with one of them instead. And the guy shows up to proceed to beat the shit out of them before explaining himself to her like hey sorry bullshit kept happening, my phone fell into a storm drain and my wallet got stolen when I was trying to find someone who'd borrow me a phone so I could call and

His girlfriend had been fending off the 5 drunk guys for most of the evening by explaining that even if she was going to ditch her boyfriend, she can't possibly leave without finishing her beer, which she is keeping perpetually full via careful sleight of hand where she's just pouring it back and forth into and out of the pitcher.

However the drunk guys are also drinking, and eventually she can't afford to buy another pitcher for the table so she can't keep up the ever-full beer glass trick. At this point she has to resort to setting up the pool trick shot that she's never seen anyone but her boyfriend pull off, and says she'll leave with whoever manages the shot first.

That buys her another hour or so and then, finally, her boyfriend makes it back. He looks like shit, hair down and just a mess, he's wearing an entirely different jacket that he got from an alley, and barely recognizable—especially to 5 guys who've been drunk for hours now. He lurks for a minute, finds out what's going on, and proceeds to pull off the trick shot first try. Throws the jacket off, fixes his hair with a hair tie his girlfriend lends him, finally looks like himself again, and THEN beats the shit out of them with the pool cue.

oh yeah hoppers was a banger. as someone who studied the topic of the movie pretty in depth in the region it takes place in. not just good all around in regards to that, but also funny, perfectly dramatic, and beautifully animated

mc mabel is great example of the genre of character i adore and also heartbreakingly relatable (sometimes you really do feel so alone in the world of conservation fighting for it up against the rest of humanity).
