barty refers to evan as his rose toy
James Potter was NEVER nervous about icebreakers. That man had 3 fun facts about himself ready to go, along with his full name, AND pronouns (and the biggest brightest james potter smile)
remus the typa guy that no one has a clear photo of EVER
he's either looking away, or looking down, or out of frame, or has a hand over his face
you will NEVER see a clear picture of his face as long as he's fully awake and conscious
its just like that
regulus “i never laugh” black becoming a giggling mess when he gets comfortable with james
Remus has the canon event for countryside kids where none of his friends know how the fuck to get to his house no matter how many times he gives his address or directions.
sirius black is naturally cruel and works to be kind
regulus black is naturally kind and works to be cruel
Imagine, a Triwizard Tournament, but between the Hogwarts houses. James and Reg are participating, representing their houses. When they reach the water race, the most important thing for them is the same: Sirius.
Oh that's a devastating thought
If James gets there first, Regulus has to live with that guilt that he's *still* second place to James
Regulus tried so hard, he planned and plotted so he'd win- and yet James still got to Sirius first
And if Regulus just stays at the bottom of the water, feeling defeated and given up, what then
What if James jumps back in to go get him
a strange type of chemistry
these two are my roman empire
“You block people over politics?” girl I block people if they don't like Remus Lupin.
Sirius “Do you still want me?” Black
Remus “You always will be the only one I want” Lupin

I love how, as much as she messes with every single other time period in the hpverse, JKR doesn't seem to want to even get close to the Marauders. She touches Harry, his kids, young Dumbledore, Tom Riddle's family, the founders, etc. but it looks like she wouldn't touch the Marauders with a ten foot pole.
Allowing the fandom to fill in all the blanks to the point that that side of the fandom has created it's own mythology and headcanons so much that it's completely divorced from canon at this point. Half the stuff that comes out of there not even remotely canon compliant. They're not even hp characters anymore, just ocs with the same name as hp characters like
lol probably that's the exact reason she doesn't wanna write about it/make another movie/show about it cause she's scared we'd all hate review and boycott it xD
also cause she wrote Jily into being "enemies to lovers" but only showed the beginning enemies and the end lovers but doesn't wanna show the middle
tbh I doubt JKR understand the concept lol, they're not real enemies, are they? They're bickering (kinda like Ron and Hermione do) but it's not like there is mutual hate there, James is infatuated basically from day 1 and Lily is annoyed cause James behaves like a prick and probably thinks he's an immature kid but once he gets his act together and starts being more responsible he apparently is good enough for her after all xD
I suppose so. I do get Ron and Hermione vibes from them sometimes. James did get angry at Snape when he said a slur at Lily (just like Ron tried to hex Draco when *he* said it) so we know that, even at his worst, James was never an actually cruel person.
yeah, James is a good guy deep down but I guess he just was a jerk in his younger teenage years...I think stories like ATYD don't really portray that too well... canonically, he comes across as much more rowdy and careless and somewhat arrogant but I think he has the capability to learn from his mistakes and becomes more considerate and less of a git and once Lily realises this, she starts to actually like him
