FF: Agendas We Love

July is our favorite month to shop for agendas.  We know it’s a little weird, considering that 2016 is still half a year away.  But we typically buy 17-month agendas that start in August.  So this is the best time to shop!

When it comes to planners we have three favorite brands: Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade, and ban.do.

Aren’t these all so darling?  These agendas make us want to get organized before the fall.  It’s probably because we still have a “back to school” mentality as soon as August/September hits, even though we’ve been out of school for a few years now.  It’s just so ingrained in our brains.  Now all we have to do is decide whether or not we want a large or small agenda!  To be honest, we’re leaning towards getting two.  A large one for work and blogging, and a small one for our personal lives.

Floral Arranging Class at the Home Market MKE

On a whim we decided to sign up for the Home Market’s floral arranging workshop last weekend – and we’re so happy we did! Our friend Eunice came into town for the event and we had a blast sipping pretty cocktails while playing with gorgeous blooms. While it was fun, I think we both realized the florist career is not in our future! **Added bonus: Eunice won the raffle and took home the gorgeous arrangement of garden roses & dahlias!

Summer Accessories

As much as we love accessorizing all year round, we tend to go a little overboard in the summer.  Since we tend to stick to classic and preppy styles, we use jewelry as our outlet to be a little more edgy and trendy.  That’s why we’re loving all of the accessories in today’s post!  Adding a statement necklace or bold cuff to an outfit really makes it pop.  It’s our favorite way to try out new styles without committing to an entirely new look.

What accessories are you rocking this summer?  Right now we’re obsessed with anything that comes with a tassel!

Travel: New Orleans

This summer, one of the items on our bucket list was to visit a city we’ve never been to before.  After a lot of debate, we decided on New Orleans.  To say we chose right place would be an understatement.  We had so much fun in #Nola!  From the food to the culture, there was never a moment to spare.  We definitely recommend a visit– between beignets, the French Quarter, graveyard tours, the WWII Museum, Jackson Square, City Park, Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street, there’s always something to do.  We can’t wait to go back!

Culotte Pants

Culottes are a trend we’ve been seeing everywhere lately.  At first, we were a little hesitant to hop on board.  We haven’t worn anything that cropped or wide-legged since gaucho pants were in style when we first started high school.  But after seeing celebrities like Kendall Jenner make them look chic on red carpets and bloggers posting snaps of them on Insta, we’re going to give culottes a try.

We have a feeling this trend will stick around for a while, so we picked out culottes that will work for the end of summer as well as the beginning of fall.  We’re planning on pairing whatever pairs we end up buying (we’ll keep you posted!) with a plain top to make sure the pants are the only statement.  And they definitely need to be worn with heels or booties.
