Stash!!!!!
I found these in my stash (looking for something else ofc) and immediately wanted to do a Luminous Nine Patch.
Now, now listen.
I know I seem to be making a few of these.
But they turn out gorgeous! How could I not make them?? They’re so easy and fun to do.
She is on fire!
Look at this thing! I love her! She’s gorgeous!
She’s bold and dramatic and demands attention!
I think this one is one of the best Luminous Nine Patch quilts I’ve done.
I’ll use orange thread to quilt it and put black cuddle on the back, along with black binding. I think that’ll finish her off nicely 💖💖
I was correct. The black cuddle and binding are just fab with this.
I did actually find a more golden yellow thread called Dessert Sunset that I used instead of orange to quilt with, and I love it.
Man. It looks so good in the sunlight.

Reasons for hope: Lots of amazing people did a ton of work to make this fantastic, fully interactive resource available - because no matter how bleak things seem, there are millions, and millions of people doing everything they can to protect both the world and their own communities.
You can use this to view and subscribe to updates, project statuses, and for at least some of them even whole dossiers. This is an amazing resource, I highly recommend checking it out

I love how Zohran Mamdani is wearing a suit everywhere. And if he has anything else he puts it ON TOP of the suit. A basketball jersey. A high-vis vest. All worn over the suit. He’s like the mayor character in a cartoon who’s always dressed as The Mayor. If I didn’t know who he was and he biked past me in NYC I’d be like holy shit was that the mayor
I know his tailor is stressed bro look at this man wearing a suit to fix a pothole
I bet he opens his closet to the same suits with some slightly different ties like SpongeBob.
I bet if he took off his suit there’d be a suit underneath

Austro-Hungarian posters from the First World War showing disabled soldiers at work with prosthetic limbs.
The posters were published in 1917 and 1915 respectively. The first was designed by Pal Sujan and promotes a July-August 'National war welfare exhibition' in Bratislava, presumably to showcase various initiatives for injured veterans.
The second was jointly designed by Lajos Csabai and Árpád Ékes with the text reading 'How to Return Our Disabled to Life', advertising a film of the same name produced by Illés Jenő and documenting the development of prosthetics in the early months of the war. The film was largely recorded in hospitals around Budapest and premiered in the city in January 1916.
Obsessed with the fact that, in a show that got away with a ton of gore, swearing, and innuendo for something rated tv-pg, they still managed to push the butt jokes to a point where someone had to step in and be like "ok that's too much ass"
great work everyone hit the bathhouse
