The way up to Snowden, Snowdonia

Happy 2017! I was sulking in my bed, absolutely miserable, after returning to London from Spain. Then I had one of those peep-in-the-future-that’s-so-Raven moments - the past two years have been fucking insane. I’ve grown and changed so much, have had so many new experiences, made quite a few new friends, and developed a love for the outdoors. It’s been great. I bet, that once I am settled down with a family and stable career, that these years will be the ones I reminisce the most. And my epiphany? I am currently still in the middle of said insanity. I’ve spent just under 3 months in London, England now. London! For fuck’s sake, London!! That’s amazing. Already it’s been so great, filled with plenty of uni-stress (as usual), climbing, and hikes. My favourite of which is the photo attached. Here’s to a 2017 of continued insanity. These are the best years of my life. Cheers to that! :)

I’m falling in love with Canada

I’ve been here 14 years, and now the love blossoms just as I am about to leave. What finally did it is the west coast. It is beautiful out here. Breathtakingly so. The view you get after a sweaty and steep hike to the top of a mountain is impossible to compete with. Especially when there’s a glacial lake bluer than the sky that accompanies it. 

Fuck, and not to mention the Rockies. 

I could spend a good couple of summers here. Apparently the winters are a little bit more miserable due to all the rain. But with the mild summer weather that’s ideal for weekend hikes, I don’t want to leave, not just yet. 

I have one more month here. And it seems that the best things always like to come right at the very end. I would like to stay longer, but alas I cannot. Perhaps it’s better to leave a thread hanging. This way, I will leave with a desire to come back. 

This summer, in Vancouver, I feel sustainably content. And holy fuck, does that feel like a breath of fresh air after breathing in car exhaust for the past while.

Insanely fun weekend at Garibalidi Provincial Park. Sometimes it’s more about the experience, and other times the new people you meet. This time it was a great combination of both. 

Sadly this view only lasted about 30 seconds.
