@myfallencomet
so um….looks like Bradley Cooper (goy) has been cast to play Leonard Bernstein, a Jewish man, in his upcoming film Maestro (a biopic about a real Jewish composer). rather than hiring a Jewish actor to tell a story about a Jewish man, they cast a goy…who will be wearing a prosthetic nose.
and if that weren’t enough - they cast Carrie Mulligan, an Irish woman, to play Leonard’s wife…who was a Latina. and Maya Hawke, a white woman who is neither Latina nor Jewish, has been cast to play their daughter.
AND don’t forget that Bradley Cooper grabbed the rights to Bernstein’s music before Jake Gyllenhaal, A JEWISH MAN WHO WAS GOING TO MAKE A BIOPIC ABOUT BERNSTEIN, was able to. we could have had a respectful biopic about a Jewish man, told by Jews. instead we get this.
i…don’t have words to explain how insidious this is. the absolute goydacity to keep a Jewish man from telling this story, whitewash the other people in a true story, and to cast a goy instead of a Jewish person to tell a true story about a Jewish man, and have that goy wear a prosthetic nose. they would rather Jew-ify a goy than cast an actual Jew. i’m disgusted.
this is incredibly upsetting as both a jewish person and a latina person. i actually gasped when the nose prosthetic was mentioned. seriously people, what the hell
I genuinely need to study Dream's fanbase and how he has fostered their extreme parasocial relationships with him to the point where they are ride or die for anything he does, are not willing to acknowledge genuine criticisms and brush it off as "drantis hating for no reason", will discard anybody the second they stop liking Dream and ONLY because they stopped liking Dream, whether its ex members of the fandom or CCs who have dropped him, they'll never stop to consider WHY, because Dream can never ever ever ever EVER be the problem, because he is so perfect and kind, and nobody deserves his kindness!
Why is everybody dropping him? He's just too kind for them... Nevermind the huge red flags here cause why is everybody dropping this dude? Its definitely not because he's "too kind" I'll tell you that.
He can go into GCs and make sexual jokes surrounded by minors and his fans won't care because they won't even acknowledge it! Grooming allegations? Who cares about those! We love our baby Dweam!
Like CC, like Fanbase. Every other fandom around them distances themselves, more people adding Dream stans DNI to their accounts and blogs, more CCs dropping and making fun of Dream. And yet they'll Never think they're the problem.
They act like Dream is their friend. They act like they know him better than his friends/ex-friends do. The audacity to tell Tommy he "doesn't know the full story" between his friends as if THEY DO?
Dream's entire Internet existence is a big, flashy red warning sign against parasocial relationships. And I am going to yet again put a gentle reminder here that you do not know these people, and you do not know how they act off the internet. (Though Dream doesn't even act kind online, so I think his "kindness" is just their rose tinted glasses)
Becoming so attached to an internet stranger you'll ditch friends and other interests/CCs you've liked for a long time because they don't like Dream, becoming so ride or die you're at his defence every single day against your better judgement (your declining mental health!), having meltdowns about a CC's personal friendships, etc is Not Healthy.
If you're at a point of stanning a content creator where even looking at criticism towards them (not even talking Mindless Hate here) gives you a fight or flight reaction, please reevaluate. You do not have to fight on a strangers behalf to the point where you're practically giving up everything to do so. It's genuinely concerning to watch
Everyone that "turns against Dream" can never have a valid reason, they're always "ungrateful" and "Dream did so much for them" and "Dream made them". They act like Dream's friends owe him a life debt and dropping him is a moral failure. Its so odd. You don't know what goes on behind the scenes, and we've seen enough of Dream's bullshit in the public view to get an understanding of Why nobody likes him. Not to mention the weirdness of crediting Dream for every single CC he interacts with's career.
They see Dream as some sort of martyr, who came down from the Heavens and gave everybody a Youtube career and was nice to them sometimes. And now they have to worship him for as long as they live otherwise they're ungrateful scumbags. He did the Godly act of adding them onto a Minecraft server (on which they made their own content) so now they owe everything to him
It's even stranger when people are genuinely upset they """have""" to drop a CC because said CC dropped Dream. You literally Don't Have To. You can continue watching them because you like their content or like them as a person. You do not have to base every opinion you have on whether they like Dream. You, a viewer, can watch someone because you like their content. Not because of their personal friendships

this has almost 11 million notes what is this
I’ve never seen this post once in 10 years on this site
@hellsite-hall-of-fame
I’ve never even heard of this before tho??? Wtf??????????
oh my god, I didn’t think there were any surviving versions of this post left
For those who weren’t around in the Deep Lore times, this is one of the relics of the editable post era. This post has THE SINGLE HIGHEST NOTES of ANY post on this site, bar none, but with more than a dozen variations. Every single post you’ve ever seen with more than 3 million notes has been a different version of this one.
This is the “Dean’s Gym Shorts” post. This is the Flubber post. This is the original “Reblog if you support gay people” post. it was ALL of them. before half the site got nuked, it had even more notes than it has now - at one point, well over 15 million, and that was years ago.
This, with no exaggeration, is the ONE TRUE heritage post
World Heritage Post
If I had a nickel for every time a villain who had the power of the multiverse and their origin story involved a bagel. I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
So I’m about three weeks post-op for my hysterectomy and I’ve been thinking about something a lot lately.
I have O- type blood, meaning I’m a universal blood donor. Anyone can receive my blood, and O- is in constant demand because of this. If there’s no time to blood test in an emergency situation, O- is essential.
I’m nearly 26, and I’ve never donated blood. Why? Because I’ve never been eligible. The guidelines for donation are extremely strict in order to protect both donors and recipients. You have to meet age requirements, weight requirements, sexuality requirements, and can be ineligible because of a host of health conditions, because of certain medications, having new tattoos or piercings, travel to certain areas, etc. You can get turned away for being even slightly anemic.
Blood donations save lives; just one donation can save three people’s lives. It’s relatively quick, mostly painless, and extremely low-risk. But we don’t force anyone to donate; it’s entirely voluntary. If I was required to donate blood as frequently as possible, I theoretically could save a dozen or so people a year, but we don’t do that because that would be a violation of my rights. We don’t force people who are ineligible to donate anyway because it still might save a life. We don’t try and pressure people into donation if they don’t want to. Nobody says “well if you didn’t want to donate blood, you shouldn’t have gotten your blood typed.” There are no fake blood donation clinics that coerce you into donating if you’re ineligible or uninterested. There are no incentives or bribes or remuneration to convince people to donate blood, aside from a juice box and maybe some cookies. We don’t make cis men donate every 56 days, or cis women every 84 days. We don’t let underweight or underage people donate. We don’t deny people certain medications because they might want/have to donate blood. We protect the privacy of blood donors.
Blood donations save lives, but we only allow people to donate under extremely safe and 100% voluntary conditions. Are there some legitimate problems with some of the requirements, especially those related to gender and sexuality? Yeah absolutely, a lot of them are super outdated and homophobic. But the point is that our society values personal choice and bodily autonomy, as well as the health and safety of the donors, over potential lives saved. The same principles of consent and bodily autonomy apply to organ donation. You can’t even remove organs from a corpse to use for transplants unless that person had consented while they were alive.
Before I went into surgery, I also had to sign a consent form that would allow me to receive a blood transfusion if it was necessary.
We don’t allow forced blood or organ donations, and we have pretty stringent requirements for blood donors, because we value safety, consent, and bodily autonomy over quantity of life. And yet, anti-choicers want to force people to undergo pregnancy and birth—a far more dangerous, lengthy, and painful ordeal—because “it’s a life.” A ten year old isn’t old enough to donate blood, but is apparently old enough to carry a pregnancy to term.
It’s pretty fucked up how when it comes to abortion rights, it seems like health and safety, consent, and bodily autonomy suddenly don’t matter anymore.
Also, please consider donating blood if you can.
Hey yeah in the midst of all the hype and the strikes, can we PLEASE fucking talk about this

Barbie (2023) really had Barbie say “hey. I know the reason you hurt me is because I hurt you. I’m sorry I hurt you, because you didn’t deserve that. I know you are a better person than this, and you are fully capable of being that person. I can’t change the past, and I don’t think we can be in each other’s lives anymore without hurting each other, but i am sorry and I want you to be happy. I want you to find your identity and love yourself and live.” and then she realizes she’s also talking about herself.
she’s saying “I deserve to live. We both deserve to live.” it is one of the kindest things I have ever seen done to someone and to themselves in any piece of media ever
