Nimble fingertips work to coax the troublesomely tiny zipper located on the back of Clara’s dress upwards, until at last it reached the top hem, finally encasing her lithe form in the tight, black leather dress she had chosen for tonight’s rendezvous. Even he had to admit, with his subdued tastes, she was indeed a sight to behold—the perfect distraction.
“You remember the plan, correct?”
Of course, he doubted she would forget, given her attentiveness during the Alchemists’ gathering: that she would engage the crowd of the snobby, bourgeois one-percenters at their needlessly ornate charity banquet until capturing the eye of their target (a notoriously chauvinistic politician, and an absolute sucker for blondes). Meanwhile, Kimbley would covertly steal away to the upper balcony, and once she had successfully positioned their quarry in just the right spot—
The woman lets out a breath once the zipper has been released. Sharp, haughty, a test to make sure it wasn't going to break and cause more distraction than what she intended. Only when she was satisfied did Clara begin to add the finishing touches, arranging her hair and choosing the right accents in jewelry, gloves, and the like.
His comment elicits a pout on her painted lips.
"What do you take me for? An amateur?" The retort is swift and seemingly not open to debate. She'd been over the plans numerous times since the meeting and had her escape route planned out in advance.
"Just make sure you don't leave any... messy evidence behind." She says, giving a light tap on his jaw and exchanging her pout for a sly smile.
Apparently I never put this anywhere but I do headcanon that Psiren in either canon or brotherhood verse is a semi-familiar face at the Devil’s Nest. She doesn’t get out to Dublith often but her line of work puts her in contact with others of her ilk and she likes to maintain connections far and wide in case she ever needs to hide out somewhere far from her usual hunting grounds.
As usual of course all this is up for plotting and/or discussion based on the preferences of anyone else involved.
Alright considering the genshin Clara now and I’m thinking she’s an aristocrat from Fontaine who moonlights as a cat burglar. Cryo catalyst for her weapon/vision. Not much else besides that so far.
Might give canon 03 a separate entry so I can incorporate some of the background I headcanoned for brotherhood into there. We’ll see though I’m getting low on spoons again.
In the meantime asks are welcome etc etc I’m very lonely
Verses that aren’t fleshed out enough to get separate entries will be listed here.

Clara is the mortal alias/avatar of Eris the Goddess of Chaos.
Modern Psiren:
tag: new age psiren
In general not much different from her main verse, sans the alchemy aspect. The socialite daughter of a wealthy weapons engineer who discovered her family’s dark secrets and abandoned them to start a new life in another city, and who then had to turn to crime at a young age to survive. Masterful at stealth, the art of distraction, and sleight of hand, Clara has become infamous for calling out her marks before she performs the heist. Her method of choice; leaving a literal calling card in the form of a terot card with a message written on it. Once the heist is finished the card disappears along with the stolen goods, leaving no evidence behind.
Outside of any plotting with any Lusts, the plan to create a Mother/Daughter public face mentioned in my background was never implemented, as the events leading up to the promised day (and Lust’s death) would have derailed anything like that. In all likelihood Deceit herself was forgotten in the chaos, and has since been left to her own devices (particularly in post-series, where she’d be one of the few surviving homunculi).
Name: Deceit
Aliases/Nicknames: Dee, Clara
Race: Homunculus
Residence: Central City, Amestris
Age: Physically 26
Height: 5'7
Weight: 145lbs
Eyes: Light
Hair: Blonde
Skin: Pale
Faceclaim(s): Onna Shacho (Golden Boy, possibly Ritsuko Akagi (NGE)
Distinguishing Characteristics: Like all homunculi, Deceit has a red ouroboros that marks what she is. Her mark is on the back of her neck just at the base of her skull below her hairline. It is hidden almost constantly by the her hair, which she arranges to cover the mark even when worn up. Deceit is very careful about this, as it’s one of the few things that can give her true nature away.
Deceit is a very pretty homunculus. She is a bit like Lust in that respect, everything about her is meant to be beguiling, from her lovely features to her soft, pleasant voice. Even her scent is sweet and enticing, possibly smelling different to each person she meets, depending on what smells they enjoy the most.
She is good at speaking and acting in a way that makes people like and trust her, allowing her to get close enough to them to use her true homunculus skill; poison. Deceit has the ability to secrete toxins from her skin of various types. She can administer them directly into a person’s body through contact (some with a touch, others with a kiss if necessary), or she can simply stir a drink with her finger or run her hands over some of the targets food, distributing it that way. The toxin has a naturally sweet flavor, which is often lost in the flavors of whatever food or drink she is contaminating.
Because she is the embodiment of lies and liars, she is also exceptionally adept at spotting them, recognizing all the small nonverbal cues that humans give without ever knowing or being able to control them, also with differences in tone of voice and a myriad of other things that only she would ever recognize. Things that she herself lacks, due to her inhuman nature.
Unlike Wrath, Deceit does not have a human aura, instead having a chi more typical of her other siblings. Father of course never expected there to be people with the ability to detect inhuman qi, so she’s not protected against qi readers. Most of the time, this is not a problem however, and while the discovery might make her distrusted by such people, it will not help them sense whether or not there is any truth to whatever she is saying.
Background: When a well known weapons inventor and doting father threw in with the higher ups and the homunculi, they vaguely alluded to the idea that working with them would allow him to bring his dead wife back from the grave. To this end he went to great lengths to help them, inventing and manufacturing new weapons and technology for the military and funding as well as assisting in their horrific experiments and furthering their plans.
However, as time went on, he began to have more doubts, especially as he learned about their true plans and what the cost to the nations population would be. So in order to keep him on track, or perhaps as just a punishment, the homunculi took his daughter and only surviving family member as one of their test subjects. When he learned what they planned to do to his daughter, The man attempted to use some of the weapons and equipment he’d invented for them to mount a rescue mission, fighting his way into the 5th lab and nearly dying in the attempt. He was captured only to learn that the mission had been in vain, his daughter already moved from that place to another location deep underground, where she was presented as a potential candidate for conversion into a human based homunculus.
Despite a few differences (the most prominent being hair color), the young lady bore enough of a resemblance to another homunculus; lust, that Father decided she was in fact an acceptable host with a strong body that might be capable of withstanding the changes brought on by the philosopher's stone. Attempting to become closer to Truth, Father thought he could purge himself of deception. His greatest lie however what to his own mind when he believed he's succeeded. When Deceit was created, her cover was already in pace, all she had to do was assume the role of the girl she'd taken her body from and wait for the chance to make the announcement that despite the tragic loss of her father, the girl's mother (who'd had a strong resemblance to Lust) had recovered from her ‘debilitating illness’ and was healthy once more.
Whether or not the young lady survived inside of Deceit is a complete unknown, and will probably remain so, because Deceit’s very nature makes it so that whether she says the girl is or isn’t, she could be lying either way.
Powers and Abilities:
Unnatural Aura – Deceit has a strong aura of rancid qi caused by all the trapped souls inside her philosopher's stone core. While most people don't notice this, it is easily picked up by qi readers such as those that know how to use the dragon's pulse, and animals who tend to show either hatred or fearfulness in her presence.
Bad Medicine – Deceit's main skill as a homunculus is the ability to secrete poisons and toxins from her body the effects of which vary depending on what it is she is trying to accomplish. These can be anything from a mild hallucinogen or paralytic to something strong enough to kill a man after a mere kiss. She can even create love potions and truth serums. However none of these are effective against other homunculi.
Silver tongue – She can fool any lie detector, making it impossible to know at any given moment whether or not she's telling the truth. It's possible even her emotions are a facade.
Pleasant Aroma – The scent she gives off naturally is different for each person, and always one with a positive association usually described as their 'favorite' smell.
Name: Deceit (real name unknown)
Aliases: Spy, Dee
Nationality: French
Age: Apparently 26
Height: 5'7
Weight: 145 lbs
Eyes: Light
Hair: Dark (possibly dyed), thick and wavy
Skin: Pale
Physical Description: She is moderately tall and physically appealing. The classic 'femme fetale' with dark hair and a mysterious past. Her features while not completely hidden, are obscured by a fashionable hat and a lacy veil underneath, adding just the right amount of allure to keep her from being recognized. And of course, she can always change her disguise when necessary.
Background: Obscure by default. Dee has gone to a lot of trouble to confiscate, burn, or otherwise erase any traces of her past, making information about her scarce at best. What is known, is that she is a master of disguise, a dangerous opponent, and possessed of a wide variety of items that are easily concealed on her person even given the tight and slinky clothing she drapes herself in.
Among these tools of the trade are her perfectly manicured and painted nails, which actually have multiple layers to them and hide all manner of minuscule items and devices for use in gathering information or escaping capture (rumor has it that her toes are done up in a similar way, but this is as yet unconfirmed).
((Originally this was just going to be a TF2 verse, but damn I love spies like, give me all the femme fetale stuff that shit is awesome.))
