Hi. My name is Erika (: I'm yet another one of those girls obsessed with doing nails (we're quite rare) :p I'm an odd one. I'm not the typical girly girl you'd expect to see with such pampered fingernails but this has become quite a hobby of mine where I can unplug myself from the rest of the world and just relax. I've truly come to love doing my nails. I come to Tumblr & see other girls nails when I'm not doing my own. lol. Here I will be posting pictures of my own nails and my slow advance in nail art. I'm a beginner and sadly I have to Make time for my nails in my schedule. I apologize for the long descriptions and captions in advance. I love to write my thoughts away. Hello everybody! So as I thought it was time to start posting again, the internet at my house stopped working ._. This isn't the first time either! So, I am currently using my schools wifi ;b Any who, this is a swatch of the very popular Coral Reef by Sally Hansen. I'm not sure if this is one of the polishes they changed the formula of, but if they did, I have the old formula. I have to admit I'm indifferent about the polish it's not horrible & it's also not bad. I find that when I use Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes they start to become thicker as I do the second coat. Am I the only who has the problem? It could possibly be the weather here 😳

Swatch & review of Sally Hansen's not-so-new Miracle Gel Polishes & Top Coat for all of you today! :D First photo is after three days of applying the polish. The day of applying the polish, & after one coat I thought "too sheer this is going to be a 3 coater". Nope. 2 coats was enough & boy was it shiny! Alone!! Apply the topcoat & you got super duper shiny nails!!! My nails were so shiny that at three days I was still getting comments on how shiny my nails were. These polishes claim to last 2 weeks, be shiny- definitely accomplished that!, easy removal with regular polish remover & no LED light needed. The day I removed the polish- which is the second photo & was taken after a week & a half of applying the polish- I used non acetone nail polish remover. I used the method modnails uses & has a video of on her YouTube channel & the removal was piece of cake like promised. I'm sure nothing fancy needs to be done either. I know I left the polish on only a week & a half but if I were to have left it on the two whole weeks, I'm positive it would have lasted. Maybe even longer! I looove this line & the only con is how pricey they are. :( other than that I highly recommend these polishes to lady's who don't have the time to do their nails every two days like us nail art enthusiasts. Hi everyone! Today I have a very special post for all of you. It’s my friends thecatladysnails & mines mint manicures for Talia Joy. I really enjoyed doing these & learning new techniques along the way. Easily, I think these are the manis I’ve done with a bigger cost out of all manis I’ve done along with my SparklesForAyla nails in July. I want to thank my friend TheCatLadysNails for doing this with me & everyone else who participated in the hashtag talias mint mani. Sorry I’m a little rusty in my writing. As I promised here is another post by me :D this is nail art I did atop of Sally Hansen’s Black Out inspired by the, oh so talented, ohmygoshpolish! She is amazing. I watch her YouTube videos every time there’s a new one to watch c: She did this galaxy type thing half way through the mani when she did her Fault In Our Stars mani & I loved the way it looked! So I had to give the galaxy thing go! Isn’t this mani awesome!!?!?!! If you’re interested to know how i did it, check out ohmygoshpolish's YouTube tutorial because that's what I followed! I love her personality as well! :D

I know, I know. I have been gone a while. Please don't kill me I'll have posts in my queue scheduled to come. Now on to the nail details! I'm always hoping to find a nice black & white polish and I think this may be the best black I've tried yet. It's Sally Hansen's Black Out. I use black & white often & when I use them as a base color, I don't want them to take too many coats for opacity that'll just make my mani thick! This is only two coats (& opaque!) and it's thin, so I think this is great! I'm still hoping to find a better black that is: thin, opaque, & at a good price! It's a polish I know I'll keep running out of & buying so I wanna find a good one :P Do you know of a good black or white polish? If so, please comment & tell me! :D

Heaven - Polynesian Mint. This photo doesn't do the polish justice. It's actually like a Tiffany mint color, but a little darker. 2 coats & no topcoat. It's amazin' & also hard to photograph hmm..

Hi everyone! Today's somewhat mint mani was inspired by christabellnails, from YouTube & instagram, as well as majsransstuff, & seizethenail, with their pond manis. When I first saw the pond mani from majsransstuff I fell in love with it & had to try it! So this is my attempt doing the flowers as christabellnails did. Hope it's not to bad ;b

Recreation of lovelymugglenails! I’ve been wanting to recreate this mani for so long now & I looove it! Part of my mint manis for July. This time I used mint candy apple by essie. I remember watching teenytinytalia in a video with her friend Lea talking about this nail polish so I feel like this mani fits very well. I miss you Talia. This my friends is the polish underneath all the glitter from yesterday. Oahu Bloom by Heaven. Just take a moment to admire it.. This brand needs to expand soon. Here I have two coats & no topcoat & it was a little difficult for my camera to capture so it may be on the neon side. This polish makes me excited isn't it pretty!!!!!!

•Sally Hansen - Mint Tint So I had no I idea what to do with this nail polish. Since it’s a textured polish (in the bottle you can see gold shimmer but, it doesn’t transfer onto the nail :/ ) I felt if I added nail art too much would be going on but, I wasn’t happy with just dots so I added gold flowers on top & still using the white as the center. I still can’t say I’m happy with these but, if I got back again ill most likely make it worse. Definitely a step back ;b

Mint mani number two for teenytinytalia with my base color Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen. I was first inspired by thenailasaurus's tutorial for waterfall nails then recently thecraftyninja also posted a tutorial & I finally decided to do these nails myself (: They're so easy & pretty! Does anyone know any hand positions in which I can photograph my thumb in the photo without my hand position looking odd? :b

In memory of teenytinytalia, for the rest of July I will only be using mint polishes as a base for my manis or nail art. The polish I'm using today is one of the old formulas of Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear Mint Sorbet. I could never write a dear & sincere post for Talia because I feel like no amount of sweet words from me would suffice what a special little lady she was & continues being. Soooo I never showed you guys my Scratch box of June & it’s July Sorry :( Well I’ll start by saying that I love @goscratchit monthly subscription box, $30 is just a little too much to pay every month. As school being one of my main priorities, I don’t always have time for nail art :c so of corse this is a great box for me to invest into during the school year… Who am I kidding I don’t really stop with school .____. But I still manage to squeeze in some time for my nails & when I can’t, it’s nice to have something fast in easy to take the place of nail art and! They also send you dear little extra gifts, along with what’s necessary to put on nail wraps. In this box I got nail foil, little palm tree studs, nail glue, & sunglasses! And the way they package is cute! Happy Belated 4th of July everyone! Yes I’m american! :D I had time to do my nails yesterday just not enough time to post my mani because we had to go out & about searching for fireworks ;P I rarely do anything festive but, I got this red nail foil from goscratchit- in Lipstick Red- from their June box & my boyfriend had also gotten me blue & red nail polish, so I wanted to use that (: I didn’t want a perfect mani or a perfect flag. I had thought about doing tie-dye but, I wanted to so something different. I kinda wanted it to look a little messy so, I planned & put this mani together & I think I succeeded in doing what I wanted & I’m happy with how my mani turned out.. Even though I was having a hard time with the nail foil on my middle finger but, I blame myself. It was my first time using nail foil :b what a weird hand pose with the nail foil huh? ;b
