I started a new mini series! In celebration of a new Gotham Academy series coming out. And just for the fun of it. This is just a fun little thing I wrote a while back and I'm now just posting.

First fic im so scared. Maps is way too niche for how cool of a character she is, she deserves so much more content. I'm not from America, so plesse ignore if there's anything wrong with the stuff about her school

She loves making bracelets, she has so many kits for them, she's made at least one for everyone she knows, including Damian
Damian scoffed when he got the bracelet, but he still wears it
She'd absolutly be an architect when she's older, if shes not too busy being Robbin
Loves technology class and took design because she got to draw buildings and make things
This actually makes her fit in more with the batfam (despite Bruce not wanting her to be Robin) as she definatly learnt how to read blue prints well enough to figure out how to make a batarang for herself and also how to make other useful tools from those classes
She definitely had better grades in Technology before she figured out how to design her own tools (like a grappling hook) amd she started spending her time on that instead of the projects
Honestly anything with art / designing something is her thing
By the time she graduates she probably has at least two abandoned web comics
Probably plays the cello or violin, she definatly likes clubs, and she really looks like the type of person to carry a massive instrument around
She cannonically has terrible grades, but all the teachers still love her
Has adhd and possibly autism
Pizza day hates to see her coming, she absolutly runs down the corridoor to be first in the queue for lunch
She 100% has a journal, and she was definitely a big Diary of a Wimpy Kid fan when she was younger
She has a ds she uses to play pokemon on, her favourite is Sun and Moon
Her fav pokemon is probably Dedenne or from gen 1 pikachu or maybe even machop. Machop is the pokemon version of her and her massive instrument so it definatly fits her.
Machop could also carry people to safety on missions, and help lift her places she can't reach easily and move things out of the way. It woukd also be helpful to defend her, which she definitely needs as she wasn't trained as ruthlessly as the other Robins
Dedenne / Pikachu could also be useful, as theyre electric types, so they could help her short circuit lights to give herself a tactical advantage, help her turn off the power on computer systems, etc.
She really relates to Ash from the anime, they have the same kind of energy
When Bruce actually takes her in as Robin, he upgrades her goggles to have nightvision and all that cool stuff (think Peter's mask in Spider-Man: Homecoming when he gets that upgraded)
Puts milk in before her cereal
Speaking of cereal, she's a big lcuky charms fan
If she was in our universe she'd be a massive x-men fan, probably with Cyclops or Magneto, due to her strong sense of justice
She and the detective club have movie nights she and Olive organise
Refused to watch stranger things, (said she was "too busy with detective club") but as soon as Olive forced her to, she was immeadiatly in love with Byler.
Her fav characters were Will and Eddie, and she cried when Eddie died
Does the least work in PE every for someone who does parkour nightly and gets into fights, but as soon as its orienteering or tennis she's a professional all if a sudden
She gets yelled at to run faster by her teachers, she's always lagging behind to talk to Colton about their lock picking practice
Took classed for tennis with Kyle as a kid, but prefers badminton, and is somehow better at it than she is in tennis
The gym teacher always points out how much like her brother she is during tennis lessons and she hates it.

Damian Wayne did not “skip” patrol; he had completed it three hours early with superior efficiency. Nor was he “trespassing” -- traversing the pathetic security of Gotham Academy was merely a light exercise.
The Manor was unbearable. Damian departed because his family didn’t care about his birthday. Pennyworth was the only one who grasped how serious the day was.
He entered the dorm through the window silently, like a shadow.
“Mizoguchi,” Damian signaled, crossing his arms. “Tt. As everyone else is busy being useless, I’ve selected you to be my companion for tonight.”
“Happy Birthday Dames!” Leaning into her friend, she smiled.

Hello! The more the merrier I say. Maps needs that love and support or they'll let her vanish into one of those one-time side characters. I can't have that, she's too precious!!!
And I love Damian and Maps chaotic energy, if the authors would have them interact more then we could flesh out their dynamic but nooo, DC hates having Damian act like a normal kid, with semi-normal friends.

Imagine this : in Trinity Generations, Damian Wayne is a fan of Black Canary and Dinah Drake has a band and a tour manager, and you know who is it, it's Heathcliff Ray, Pomeline’s boyfriend. (It is in Black Canary Run) If Damian and Maps are classmates at Gotham Academy, and Damian is in his sophomore year, and Maps knows about a VIP Black Canary guerrilla concert in Gotham, she tells Damian, who is very happy, but he needs to persuade Pomeline to get a ticket.
He is ready to spend a ridiculous sum of money to acquire it. This is unfolding like a comical situation, where Pomeline continuously increases the bid, leading to Damian offering a more substantial amount, along with some compromises. Then They go to the concert, Maps, Damian and Poms? What do you think?
Oooooh! This is definitely fun and wholesome! Where social hierarchies and bargaining wars are simply a part their daily lives. I can see Maps pitching the idea of asking Pom for VIP tickets since Heath is her boyfriend. But that would pose as a problem because... Pom!
And since Damian is canonically such a fan and has the money, its a grand opportunity.

Pomeline, delighted, hands over a VIP pass like she’s bestowing a royal charter.
Which, absolutely, ensues chaos at the concert! Because where ever Maps and Damian goes, there's alway trouble.
Heathcliff is confused and stressed. Pom pretends she's too cool for everything. Damian has a genuine good time and Maps is vibrating off of cotton candy and energy drinks.
That part practically writes itself. But I would love a one shot like that.

I love this!! We have such a small community but one I love! I can't help but find their dynamic fun and chaotic. I just wish the writers would give them more interactions with each other. But I have hope especially with Maps getting more attention as a character.
So this is out of the blue, What If Meridian Maps had time travel back but instead to go back in time she had gone to the universe of Batman 666, aka adult Damian with so much trauma and his a literal Lethal Batman, and his bald. Ugh
I saw the image panel where he is alone and his talking and petting alfred the cat. In the bat-cave.
Adult Meridian meeting this trauma induced, batman. like a Buddy-cop show. How much their dynamic will grow.
Im sorry for dumping this plot bunny. But I think I'll try to write a oneshot.
I'll be honest I've never read that comic, but I want to definitely write a one shot about that scenario. The only older Damian I thought about writing is in Deceased and Injustice. But I would love to write Maps "Meridian" dealing with trauma, older Damian. I'll have to read the comic first. Tag me if you do write the one shot. I love reading anything Damian and Maps related.
