We had a bit of snow today and I managed to get a few pictures of how beautiful it was before it melted. It was so peaceful and quiet.

If you enlarge the photos you’ll be able to appreciate the layers and variety of trees. It was serene and so pretty.

The first picture was taken at 6:30 am while it was still dark. The rest were taken around 7:30 am.

My mom has fairly severe respiratory issues and is recovering from joint replacement; her PT told her the same info about sleeping/sitting positions and how they impact the lungs. Fascinating.

I’m playing with the halftones in #procreate and kinda like it.

Since we’ve lived in our current house, which is number 16 by the way, I’ve enjoyed feeding the birds. One thing led to another and I’m now feeding the birds, deer, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels as well as the occasional turkey & random tortoise. Believe me, it’s the best time of the day. Most of the deer grew up on our property as we own part of a large meadow. Their mothers would tuck them into our landscaping while they go off to eat. It’s rewarding when they show me their babies or come running when I whistle.

Due to the prolonged closures of numerous child-friendly activities from the COVID-19 virus, my daughter decided to raise chickens. They bought six in the hopes they’d have fresh eggs and the children would learn how to take care of animals. Needless to say, they’ve been a great source of laughter. My granddaughter even carries one down the sliding board with her. This is the picture I got today LOL. What a strange place to roost. Oh well, I’m a little creeped out by them because they’re not exactly cuddly, but it’s been a lot of fun watching them grow.

I started playing with digital art using the Procreate software for my iPad Pro. I have to say there’s a bit of a learning curve. Drawing on the glass surface took a bit of getting used to at first but was something I didn’t really notice too much as I continued drawing. I really liked using a lot of layers for this piece, but I’m the first to admit I need a tutorial on the different layers Procreate offers (clipping, masking, etc.). All in all I really enjoyed playing with the software and creating something fun.
