I actually think it would be a major banger if Bruce Wayne in the new DCU were Asian
everyone assumes he's white!! surprise motherfuckers!!
I SAW SOMEONE OUT THERE CALLING FOR HUDSON WILLIAMS AS NIGHTWING AND
YESSSSS
WE MUST MAKE IT HAPPEN
Thinking about how Yoda said: "do or do not. There is no try." And then how Nemik in the end of his manifesto said: "remember this: try."
And how Yoda told Luke that he can only tell the good from the bad if he is calm and at peace. And how Luthen said: "I've given up all chance at inner peace." (and how he specifically mentiones his anger as something that makes him fight the empire)
Andor truly is the first star wars to dare challange the ideas of the original trilogy and i respect it so deeply for that.
yyyyyyyyyyyeeEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't talk enough about America's permanent ongoing saturation of "Stranger Danger" hysteria. It's like this country's whole social ecosystem teaches full grown adults to perceive an invisible army of rabid bogeymen lurking around every fucking corner. And it's everywhere. Absolutely fucking everywhere, top to bottom, from true crime media and urban legends like the old Poison Halloween Candy thing to our sadistically rage-fueled, revenge-based justice system and immigration policies. The NRA and the war on drugs and post 9/11 airport security and mccarthyism and satanic panic and just E V E R Y T H I N G in America, everything that has defined its history for 100+ years is constantly nothing but this fucking FEAR TERROR FEAR TERROR for positively no reason. None.
Oh, it's for a reason. The reason is very clear.
Keep people scared, offer them YOU and YOUR politics as the answer that will save them, and you can get large groups of people to agree to pretty much any atrocity.
You can drag THEM and their families and their friends off to be tortured and killed and they'll say thank you.
But you have to keep people SCARED. All the time. Perpetual fear.
And then it makes you lots and lots of money and gives you lots and lots of power. And it helps you escape any accountability.
honestly you all are so annoying because motherhood IS interesting but fandom people are simultaneously obsessed with deciding that every woman has motherly qualities and completely disinterested in actually exploring motherhood as a role that informs a character. I do think exploring a character being a mother can be wildly interesting if they are canonically one, but because of misogyny, people just view motherhood as a totally unremarkable naturalized state that all women must inhabit!
if you continue to tag men on this post about misogyny i will start killing the hostages.
INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT MOTHERHOOD
"I love this child desperately and they seem like they're gonna become a supervillain, shit"
"WOW I didn't realize I could get so angry I feel the desire to physically harm this dear little child, holy fuck I better get a handle on that"
"I sound just like my mom... OH NO"
"DO I actually like or enjoy these 'feminine, womanly' things I keep doing? or were they just pushed onto me, and I never questioned them? what if I push them onto my kid??"
"I'm supposed to know what to do now... and I don't... but this child is looking to me to be stable and calm, fuck fuck fuck"
"my kid is asking me what the point of existing is, and I'm not entirely confident I have a philosophically sound and coherent answer. what if I fail to answer well enough and they decide to stop existing?"
"I had kids and now I regret it, but I love THEM... I just don't love this situation I'm in"
"other moms are MEAN, holy fuck?? should I be mature or should I fight them in the daycare parking lot??"
"my child just punched another (asshole) kid in the face. I am extremely proud but the school officials are expecting me not be be..."
"my kid's friend's parents are transphobic and the friend is trans. how do I help this kid, knowing he loves his parents and desperately wants them to be proud of him?"
"what if I just eat this candy my kid threw on the ground. what if."
yes
guess who just got ✨dommed by the narrative✨✨✨
DOOMED I MEANT DOOMED
We all agree she deserves the Knives Out treatment where she get's dozens of seasons with each season covering a new case right!?
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!
you can love a character and still admit when they’re wrong. i love jason todd but i can acknowledge his flaws (he has none) & i can hold him accountable for his wrongdoings (he’s never done anything wrong in his life) & call him out for his actions (which are always correct)!
Chapter 13 of The Buzzard is live!
The Buzzard is a Tim Drake-centric WIP written by @flightlessdodobird. It and its oneshot prequel/prologue, Fledge, take place in a universe where Tim Drake never became Robin. Instead, Stephanie Brown takes up the mantle, while Tim undergoes a year of training with Slade Wilson and then returns to Gotham, taking to the streets as the vigilante Buzzard.
The Buzzard’s main goal is to reunite his resurrected hero, Jason Todd, aka the Red Hood, with Batman and the rest of Jason’s estranged family, but that goal is complicated at every turn by friends, foes, business rivals, family drama, family trauma, The League of Assassins, attempted murders, successful murders, and Buzzard’s habit of annoying the sweet bejesus out of the members of the Justice League.
And how is Tim handling all of this, emotionally? He’s fine. Seriously, he’s doing so fine. He’s great, actually. Don’t even worry about him.

ai does not belong in creative spaces. period.
someone on twitter is trying to claim that use of an em-dash is an indication of AI-generated writing because it’s “relatively rare” for actual humans to use it. skill issue
I can admit this is a little out of hand, but I promise AI didn't write my 150k fic 😂
Reblog if you're a human that uses em-dashes
at some point you have to realize that you actually have to read to understand the nuance of anything. we as a society are obsessed with summarization, likely as a result of the speed demanded by capital. from headlines to social media (twitter being especially egregious with the character limit), people take in fragments of knowledge and run with them, twisting their meaning into a kaleidoscope that dilutes the message into nothing. yes, brevity is good, but sometimes the message, even when communicated with utmost brevity, requires a 300 page book. sorry.
this post is apparently going around terf circles now so i feel like i should let y'all know that you are agreeing with a transsexual lesbian who fucks nasty. get the fuck off my post and also your "feminism" is anything but.
