Ok hear me out. Brushing your teeth is one of the BEST things you can enjoy and you do it at least twice per day.

You get cleaner teeth and delightfully fresh breath. You should use a tongue scraper as well to get the full effect. Brushing your teeth is not enough by itself.

The barrier to entry is very low because toothbrushes, toothpaste, and tongue scrapers are cheap.

Plus there a plenty of ways to make it more enjoyable. Some people like to use an electric toothbrush. Some people brush their teeth for like 15 minutes at a time and/or multiple times per day. I do the latter but I don’t have an electric toothbrush; I will look into the benefits of it but I like the scrubbing motion I am forced to do to make it really feel like I’m cleaning.

Also, stop using some crappy plastic cup for the rinsing water. I picked up some rocks glasses to use and it has really elevated my experience.

I’m living a life I could not have possibly imagined for myself 5 years ago and it has been such a gift! It’s been so cool to go towards these things I’ve ended up with in my life now. Like I’ve been building my life brick by brick here and while I’m not exactly where I’m aiming for, I’m happy I’ve taken so many of the steps I’ve taken to get there. I’ll never be fully there, but that’s the point.
