I just watched it and I feel like sharing a sentiment: I'm done with an ally who turns out to be secretly evil... ARGH

this trope is now so over done you can see it five hundred miles away, there is no suspense if your character checks all the boxes of stereotypically secret villain.

Pawbert is so obviously traitor that I got disappointed. Honestly if he was just clumsy and incompetent it would be so refreshing and a great arc: his family using all their power to cover up, while Pawbert doing his best to do the right thing by others (his found family) and find his place in the world, even if he has to look away from his family... I wanted that, it has layers and drama; it forces Judy to see that two completely different people can work together for a common goal, and what she has with Nick is similar what Pawbert has with Gary... Also, it would be a testament for him to trade comfort and riches for something more cozy and true connections. The parallel between Judy and Nick being partners that had to learn how to work together (and how all the other partners are from THE SAME SPECIES), the possible conflict and envy they would have over Gary and Pawbert's improbable friendship... A nice lesson would be: you may look like your family and have absolutely nothing else in common; you can find home among those who are nothing like you... Connection is about communication.

“Bad boys” have hard exterior that hides insecurities, an evil façade that hides soft interior. He works hard and has made peace with loneliness, no one accepts him anyway. But he’d treasure anyone who would make him feel at home.

A man who chooses well his words, because knows his words can be taken wrongly and he can push people away… In a weird way to protect himself, he learned to be like a stray dog: he can bark loud and ferociously; also, he can threaten to bite, but never bite, or else he’d be sent away… Staying low and quietly is best. Keeping people away is a necessary evil.

A man that feels outcast, because most people do not open for him or need for him to change so he can be accepted. He can be very judgmental, because he has to tell the right from the wrong in order to avoid conflict; the world is not forgiving for his mistakes and he can’t afford to be taken in the wrong way or overstay his welcome.

A man that does nice things but doesn’t need to take credit for it, because he is genuinely good, but is afraid of the attention.

Emotional maturity is not exactly his thing, despite having to grow up fast. A “bad boy” is often plagued with a lot of responsibility right at young age, so it forces him to become resilient and strong, but did nothing to teach him how to regulate his emotions. He uses restrain way too much as a way to postpone introspection, and this is what can break him. He’s is trying his best to prevent his child self to suffer anymore…

What a bad boy isn’t:

Not a “nice guy”: NO! He doesn’t do nice things for the reward or the praise! He does them, because he has the time, the skills, the tools, and it’s no big deal, don’t read into it. He is doing it, just because you would fail and he doesn’t want to hear you whining…

Not a bully: he doesn’t need to ostracize others to feel on the top. Also, he doesn’t use violence for no good reason (when he does, it’s mostly because he was taken to extremes, he was pushed to his limits and lost his temper), why would he put a target on his back? He plays low and keeps his distance, he wants no trouble so he doesn’t look for it! However, he will defend himself (the child-self that felt powerless) and his loved ones. His ego isn’t easily hurt, he has such low self-esteem to preventing from getting it over his head, but sometimes he loses it…

Not a master manipulator: he doesn’t use his trauma to justify anything. Things are what they are and we play with the pieces that were given to us. He doesn’t victimize himself, after all, he has become the protector, he’s no longer a vulnerable child looking for help in a vile world… He’s sarcastic and impatient, but not cruel. He doesn’t take on others what was done wrong to him, he might actively try to make the opposite: if he saves others, he might feel saved from all that horror… He might be a brute and a stray dog, but he’s not evil! He can be selfish, but it serves as a mean of self-preservation, since no one got his back.

He isn’t mad to be isolated, he is sad. He respects other people’s choices, but it doesn’t mean no harm done, he’s hurt. He rather takes himself out of the situation than anything…

Eu sei que ninguém liga, mas procurei mais sobre os Sonhos de uma Noite de Decepção, que é o título oficial da paródia da Turma da Mônica no meu coração...

Coisas que fazem TODO o sentido:

*Mônica apaixonada por Cebola e o corpo dele voltado para longe dela (porque na linguagem corporal, esse garoto tá fugindo, mesmo que a cabeça dele esteja voltada para ela, até os olhos dele não estão enxergando a Mônica)

*Magali com a cara mais endiabrada possível, só a legenda que não é compatível, porque ela obviamente está atenta na novelinha da amiga dela com o encosto kkk

*Cascão com uma cara de quem não está entendendo absolutamente nada, também perfeito para ele.

*Nada a declarar da Marina e do Franja como Hipólita e Teseu, combina até porque na peça os dois não têm muitas falas mesmo. O mesmo serve para o Titi de barba como pai da Mônica. Não é uma má escolha, é só que a personalidade dele é tão meh que não fede nem cheira.

*Xaveco como Bottom é perfeito!!! Nada a reclamar: as duas personagens se encaixam como uma luva: um tecelão que se julga um ator tão bom que ele vai fazer todos os papeis da peça Píramo e Tisbe, inclusive o leão, o muro e a lua. 10/10

Coisas que me talham o sangue:

*Inventarem um personagem escritor para encaixar o Jeremias! Argh! Tantos na peça, inclusive a trupe de atores ou as fadas e inventam a personagem mais deslocada possível?! Eles querem fazer o teatro pro casamento do Teseu, a peça é uma tragédia grega bem conhecida, qual o maldito propósito disso?! Por que agora precisa encaixar a personalidade de uma personagem na peça?! E o pior é que a personalidade dele é só "escritor"... Jeremias, meu doce, por que fazem isso contigo?

*DC como Oberon?! Ah... Não é uma das piores escolhas, admito, mas o rei dos elfos tem uma relação de amor e ódio com a Titânia, eles estão brigando por um bebê que virará pajem. Se o DC e a Carmem tivessem alguma interação significativa para isso, para gerar tensão entre os dois, eu entenderia. Mas eles foram escolhidos por serem mais facilmente reconhecíveis pelo público. Fora que o DC não é o carinha dos planos infalíveis que dão errado, ele não é o tipo que se encaixa no Oberon, porque ele não passa a vibe de "tenho súditos e uso as pessoas como meus peões; vou ajudar jovens adolescentes porque fiquei com dó da coitada que perseguia o namorado que não a quer..." Fora a subtrama de que Oberon era apaixonado por Hipólita e para quem adora trazer a tona os filhos do Maurício em quem os personagens são baseados, o DC e a Marina são irmãos, e aí? Argumento merda, eu sei. É só para confirmar que essa escolha não presta ^^

*Carmem como rainha das fadas é só pela estética e eu tenho muito ranço disso. Ela não tem a personalidade de rainha amada pelo seus súditos, até porque a TMJ fez questão de consolidar a menina como uma patricinha irritante... E subentender que Carmem e DC têm alguma coisa me dá um pouco de asco, porque os dois são escritos como dois adolescentes mimados e imaturos, às vezes juntados porque são as duas pessoas que "ameaçam o amor verdadeiro da Mônica e do Abobrinha", mas que a TMJ não faz questão alguma de dar contornos ou complexidade (quando não estão servindo de tentação e ciúmes, eles não existem)

Eu sei que tem um momento na peça que Puck usa a flor nele e ele se "apaixona" pela gata, mas nesse momento da peça, Demétrio também ama Helena e os dois estão prestes a se matar para ficar com a menina, enquanto Hérmia quer comer o fígado dela...

É como se a paródia ignorasse tudo. Não lê o material original, não sabe a dinâmica dos personagens...
