who has the most toxic fan club : Angeal, Genesis or Sephiroth ?
Least toxic: Keepers of Honor. There’s something about Angeal that enforces peace, harmony, and civil discourse, even on the internet. His fan club is the only online space in Midgar where thirsty fans, starstruck teens, and keyboard warrior Shinragram moms coexist in absolute tranquility. Because Angeal treats his fan interactions less like PR and more like a support group. So the forum boards are a serene haven where threads range from “How Angeal’s speech on duty saved my marriage” to “Angeal’s easy casserole recipes for busy people” and “Daily accountability check-in: Did you drink your water today?”
Moderately toxic: Red Leather, Book Club (and various breakaway sects spawned after civil war). Because Genesis has many interests and is a master in various fields—which, naturally, means his fanbase has fractured into dozens of aggressive denominations. You have the combat purists, the fashion wing, the literary elitists, and the Banora White brigade constantly locked in academic feuds. It’s relentless, exhausting, and full of passive aggression, but ultimately self-contained because at the end of the day—Genesis loves them all, and they all love Genesis -_-
Most Toxic: The Silver Elite. Are you kidding? It’s not even a competition. The fanclub is the biggest one, and it’s a flaming, biohazardous, ever-growing community that houses: 1) unhinged parasocial fans who’ll post unironic 5000-word essays analyzing Sephiroth’s eye movements during press conferences, convinced he’s speaking directly to them through coded glances. 2) grindset dude-bros, fanboys who post edit clips of Sephiroth with captions like “Alpha Male Mentality” and strive to be as stoic and cool as him, and 3) the Unfiltered Thirst Brigade™ Who constantly crash the server capacity every time Sephiroth shows even an inch of skin.
Of course there are the genuinely good, normal fans who wish him well— but that all gets lost in the nightmare that is the entire operation being secretly run by “Chairwoman H”—who is literally just Hojo using an anonymous avatar to run covert behavioral studies on human obsession. The mods are non-existent, the discourse is radioactive, and if you politely suggest that Sephiroth might just be a tired man who needs a break and wouldn’t want people going to war over him, you will receive seven hundred death threats within forty-five seconds.
It’s so unfathomably catastrophic that, despite Sephiroth not caring for public adoration, he’s actually attempted to engage with his fanbase. Every blue moon, driven by a sense of duty and morbid curiosity, he’ll sit down at his computer with a cup of tea.
Sephiroth: Alright. It can’t possibly be as dire as Genesis claims. I have to desensitize myself. As a First Class SOLDIER, I have an ethical obligation to understand the demographic profile and public impression I project to the youth of Midgar.

Sephiroth: Mother of God.
