The best and most interesting thing Breath of The Wild was able to achieve through storytelling was including “ancient magic iphone” as one of your tools unironically without making it feel cheesy. They literally put in things like “we had cellphone towers and motorcycles before the lazer robot war” in a zelda game and kept it a believable fantasy setting.
