When Asa found out that you have arachnophobia, he was torn. He could either respect you and keep all of his spiders and bugs away…or play some sadistic pranks.
And what do we think he chose?…
Pranks!! Duh!!!😆
Leaving his bug specimens in unexpected places.
“Hey, Y/N, do you mind getting me the paper towels in the upper cupboard?” Asa asks you nonchalantly. You immediately agree, walking to the kitchen to get what your boyfriend needed.
You open the cabinet, expecting to grab the paper towel roll…
You let out a horrified scream, landing right on your ass when you see one of Asa’s tarantula specimens; right in the place where the paper towels usually were.
“Asa!!!! What the hell?😡”
*Cue Asa’s maniacal laughter coming from the living room.😅*
Surprising you with those awful cockroach lollipops.
You know those horrendous lollipops you can get at the gas station with beetles and roaches inside? Oh yea, Asa loves those.
(Asa would never eat one of those horrendous lollipops, don’t worry, Y/N!! His standards are much higher than that.😌)
Asa walks in the door, “Hey, Y/N! I bought you a treat while I was out.🥰”
You come running downstairs, “Really? Oh, Asa!! Let me see!!😋”
*He breaks out a bright blue lollipop with a literal cockroach inside.*
“Asa!! What is that?? Oh my god!!🤢” You said, immediately retracting your hand from the cursed candy.
“What, you don’t like it?😮” Asa said, pretending to be offended by your reaction.
“Absolutely not!!”
*Asa is practically on the floor with laughter.😆*
All the live insects. All of them.
“Y/N? Want to see something cool?” Asa asked you, holding something in his cupped hands.
“Of course, Asa.” You replied, anxious to know what Asa had hidden in his hands. He walked over to you, standing as close as he could next to you, lifted one hand up—
“EW!!! ASA, GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME!!😭” You screamed, seeing the gigantic brown beetle crawling around in your boyfriend’s palm. Asa swiftly grabbed your arm, not allowing you to move.
You tried to escape Asa’s grasp, but his iron grip on your arm kept you in place. Asa allowed the beetle to crawl up onto his finger, and he slowly brought it up to your face, teasingly purring into your ear.
You finally escaped Asa’s hold on you, taking off out of the living room and into the kitchen. Asa was close on your heels, holding his arm out, the beetle still gently on his fingertip.
He then chased you around the whole house.😌
*Cue the neighbors showing up to your front door, concerned about all of the screaming. You have to now explain that no—you were not hurt, your boyfriend was just tormenting you with a beetle.🪲*
Way too in-depth descriptions of his exterminator job.
“Asa!! How was your day?☺️” You asked your boyfriend when he got home from a long day at his part-time exterminator job. You expected a ‘fine, how was yours?’ like usual. You were not expecting—
“Oh, it was great! We had this huge roach infestation. You could see all of them crawling, and the juice that came out of them when you stepped on one—“
“Oh my god ew!! Asa, stop.” You said, wrinkling your nose in disgust.
“That’s not even the best part. The way they just exploded when we sprayed them, their bug guts flying all over the place. Oh, and the pop they made when we crushed them—“
“STOP!!!🤮”

But!! It’s all in good fun.🥰Asa loves that little mischievous smile and wild eyes you give him when he’s surprising you with his bug tricks. The look on your face is priceless.
If you ever get upset or too uncomfortable, however, Asa will lighten up. Gently petting your cheek with his finger—“I was just messing around with you, butterfly. I love to see your beautiful smile.🦋”

Asa had NEVER imagined being with a girlfriend who has arachnophobia. He never thought about any traits that he’d want to have in a partner, but being with someone who was into entomology like he was, definitely crossed his mind.
At first, he didn’t even know that you had arachnophobia!! Frankly, it never crossed his mind as to if you liked bugs or not.🤷♀️
You had been over to Asa’s house a few times, but you either only spent time in his living room or kitchen. Either watching a movie or having a simple lunch. You hadn’t been on the grand tour of his house yet.
Asa had told you he was an entomologist, and you didn’t ask any further questions. You didn’t want to know.🤭
You had come over to Asa’s house as you two had planned a movie/dinner. Asa was cooking, and you were sat at the island, making small talk.
“How were the students?” You asked him, looking at a magazine and nibbling on your favorite snack. You received a sigh in response, making you laugh.😅
“Pain in the ass, as usual. Everyone failed the test, I’m so close to being done.” Asa said as he worked at the stove. His nonchalant tone making you laugh even harder!!🤣
“You can’t just quit!!” You said, putting down the snack. “Where’s the bathroom?”
“Down the hall to the right.” Asa replied, stirring something around in the pan.
You got up, following his directions. You were in such a good mood, being able to spend the evening with your lovely boyfriend.🥰
You, however had taken a left turn, not a right turn. You opened the door, entered the dark room, feeling around on the wall for the light switch.
You found it, flipped it up and-
*SCREAM*
The wall was FILLED with all kinds of different mounted insects, most of them being spiders.
There were tables leaned against the wall with different sanctuaries filled with spiders, centipedes, and ones that you could never in a million years name.😖
“Butterfly are you alright-“ you heard Asa running over to you. He stopped dead in his tracks as he reached you, confused as to what was wrong. “What happened?”
“THE FUCKING SPIDERS, ASA!!! OHMYGOD THE SPIDERS-“ you said, backing out of the room.
“That’s just my specimen room. I don’t understand what’s wrong-“
“I HATE SPIDERS!!!”
Oh.
Asa was extremely confused. The way you screamed made it seem like you fell on your way to the bathroom and broke seven bones and some!!🤨
Asa raised his eyebrows, turning off the light and closing the door.
“I said the bathroom was to the right. Not the left.” Asa said, trying to hold back laughter.🥰
“Asa, I never want to see that again!” You said, spinning on your heel and walking back to the kitchen.
Now he knew you had arachnophobia…the sadist in him was planning all kinds of pranks.
My birthday was on March 26th and I had an Oswald inspired party 💜 and yes, the photo on the cake blurred with time but Ozzie was still there so that's what matters x'D
P.S.: It was a simple party as you can see. No agglomerations.
