A lot of these people don’t even count the 2000s, they think the 90s and 80s was when anime was “wholesome”.

...Ignoring how a lot of 90s anime (including classics like Sailor Moon) had sexual stuff involving teens, Hell Teacher Nube (which was popular in Japan despite being relatively unknown in the west) was sexualizing elementary schoolers and having weird fetish stuff back in the 90s, and the 80s was literally when the lolicon genre was born. 

Plus if you look before the 80s there was stuff like Cutey Honey so yeah.

I was going to post a huge rant but every time I tried I almost exploded but the gist of it is is CHRIST does my mom really have to guilt trip me every time we have any sort of disagreement?

I wasn’t even trying to argue with and yet she was the one who decided to get all upset and act like I was ungrateful for shit when I simply was confused by what I felt was poor communication

Why does this happen every time

And why is she always the one accusing me of attacking her when I’m generally a fucking doormat and she’s the one who keeps on guilt tripping me and gaslighting me and lashing out at me and she’s the one who turned me into that fucking doormat with a skewed sense of self worth so yeah

“you need to be grateful” you know what fuck off I’ve been grateful this whole time because you made me accept things without question but you know what I’m NOT grateful for? This shit. Fuck off.
