The age of eligibility for an ABLE account, allowing USAmerican disabled people to save up money without losing their government assistance for having “too much,” is going to go up to cover disabilities diagnosed by age 46 (currently it’s age 26), meaning a much larger number of people will be able to access them. As the article notes, many Americans don’t know these accounts exist, let alone whether they or someone they care for could qualify for one, so please share this information around.

It seems to me it would obviously be better if the “no more than $2000 a month” limit were simply removed and disabled people could have whatever savings accounts they chose, but this is heaps better than nothing.

I made it!!! One year of sobriety!! Yay!!!

Honestly, it’s been one of the best years of my personal life. Not cause I haven’t been drinking, but because I’ve spent a lot of time and energy intentionally growing into being the person I want to be. I like myself. I’m proud of myself. I trust myself. I love myself so much! That’s what I chose one year ago today. That day, instead of avoiding and being afraid of the pain that comes with change and growth, I chose to embrace it. I’m so happy I did.

working on: HAH where to start… just started journal 12 for me, doing my main research project for my masters which is an excel tool for intersection evaluation, been doing a roll of film/disposable camera for each month of the year and I’ve also thus gotten into film photography, doing the race across Alaska so I’m on my way to going 1,500 miles between the wine solstice and spring equinox (I’m 80% done already)… there’s more probably but that’s good enough lol
