“I see your one-eye Illuminati symbolism, you can’t fool me!”
My coworker, Richard, who is no fool
a small composition done in musescore for string quartet
“When you feel perpetually unmotivated, you start questioning your existence in an unhealthy way; everything becomes a pseudo intellectual question you have no interest in responding whatsoever. This whole process becomes your very skin and it does not merely affect you; it actually defines you. So, you see yourself as a shadowy figure unworthy of developing interest, unworthy of wondering about the world - profoundly unworthy in every sense and deeply absent in your very presence.”
— Ingmar Bergman
By this token, and by extension of other such philosophies I have come to accept, it is not up to us as individuals to question who we are or why we are here, but to make our marks as humans; lovers, artists, fighters - no matter what we do, we are people who touch other people’s lives. We are not here to ask why, but rather ‘what if?’ and to carry our examples forth such that others may see this and say, “well if they can, why not me? What if, what if, what if!”
The only way forth as a collective society of humans here on this planet earth is to constantly be educating and empowering each other: mutual understanding begets respect, and through these channels we can begin to see as others see, and learn from the world around us.
Good and bad exist as a temperance for these channels of creation and destruction, but good and bad are inherently constructed of the individual’s upbringing and experience through exacting choices. Good and bad is a fluid construct for the individual — ever-changing as we learn and grow. For this reason we must be forgiving and patient with ourselves as we create meaning for ourselves — it will rarely be right the first time.

fight scene at the lincoln park conservatory
chicago, il
april 2018
inside the fern room in the conservatory -- you’ll recall we went in because it was free, and because the weather was seriously getting us down. this was a lively scene to be found hidden away in this arm of the exhibit.
“Lavender Town” philadelphia, pennsylvania
date unknown, probably may 2016?
we rolled into philly to play a show, and we crashed on the couch of some art kids’ house show house. the inside and the outside were basically trashed, with beer cans on the floor, scraps of food on the tables and in the sinks, and musical equipment strewn about the living room, and all the habitable space. this is the view standing at the performance space end of the basement looking into the rest of it. i almost moved in here. once upon a lifetime, maybe i did.
the boheme in me
january 2018
we took some photos for a shoot for a zine we were making. these are as yet unreleased, but not forgotten.
Perhaps it is in error
To say that there is still beauty left in this world
Was it ever in question?
Maybe all that changes is what we consider beautiful
And worthy of our attention
Under a tree in bloom April 17, 2018
walking to an appointment when i was overtaken by these beautiful trees. i am yet unsure what kind they are, but the delicate pink flowers put me in mind of the summer to come
@kittkattmusic playing a house show at the Carpetland Flat in State College, PA; date forgotten (i never set the camera up properly)

i told my coworker i was a gear nerd, and they told me the preferred nomenclature was “gear-queer”
i’m into it
current setup on top, most recent past setup below
i make weird sounds with loops and delay. ask me anything.
[...] it doesn't matter where the truth comes from | the point is not the communication of truth, but truth itself | no one should ever say "come hear this speaker" | but rather: "there is nothing you can do to make god stop loving you" | or not saying anything at all | and loving someone

there has been no greater feeling
than when i played my songs for you
and you danced like
you wanted to go on living here
with me
Sunrise over Edgewood, May 30, 2018
i had work at six in the morning, so i went to the gym early to get some energy for the day -- came out to this beautiful scene. to me, it looks like the inside of an abalone shell
Tree study, oil pastel and cardboard, May 31 2018
i bought a cheap set of oil pastels the other day, and i want to play with them more - i love how vivid the color is, and how well they play together. i don’t know shit about pastels, or paint or anything like that, so this will be a fun experiment.
Amoeba, Photoshop noise art, date unknown. 1920 x 1080 pixels
a little something different to break things up. made this a few years ago in PS when i was just sitting around the house smoking pot.
Chicago Skyway Toll Bridge, Chicago, IL, April 2018
took this photo from the passenger seat of my roommate’s car as we entered Illinois and Chicago for the first time. it smelled like burning rubber, because a semi truck had blown a tire a few dozen miles ago, and the wind was picking up.
Under the bridge, downtown Chicago in the early spring, April 2018
snapped this while we were farting around in Grant park before our show at the chicago theater. fog was laying down heavy while we were here, and the wind and rain were heavier than we expected.
