Math says: Greg is 40.
“Steven’s Birthday”:
“Steven, you’re fourteen?” “Yeah… .”
Math says: Greg was 26 when Steven was born.
“Steven’s Birthday”:
“I mean, I’ve known the Gems since I was 22 and they never change.”
Math says: Greg only knew Rose for less than four years before she gave up her physical form to make Steven. (We don’t know how long her pregnancy was or if it was human-typical.)

And it’s never really explained (except by I guess unintentional inconsistencies) how Greg could have a picture like this with Rose, since he seemed to have more hair than that even after she was gone:
To be honest I expected Greg’s relationship with Rose to be longer than a fleeting three to four years. It’s very clear he cherished them.
