The only two canon characters I have on my Tomodachi Life island are AZ and Nyarlathotep and they're Besties and by Besties I mean they're constantly antagonizing each other and rarely leave convos without being upset in some form but their friendship like never drops below 'great friends' and honestly? I love that for them.
I'm in a 1920's Lovecraft play by post and there's a great chance my little idiot P.I. gets to meet Nyarlathotep. It's going to go great and Faust is going to love it.
Wanna get back into drawing people so I'm starting with characters/people/etc. I see all the time in my dreams. Hannibal was a oc 'first' albeit I think he may have also actually been inspired by a dream but. Either way, he's like one of 3 ocs that show up frequently in dreams so he gets to be on the docket.

Emrul, the 'True' god of Magic, Spells, Arcane Knowledge, & Mages. He is the creator of the system in which magic works off of on Aanrah, which originally prevented learned magic from being widely available. Since his slip up with a mortal king that caused what is known as 'mortal magic' to be available to anyone, Emrul has reluctantly stepped up in trying to choral mortalkind into you know. Not destroying themselves or the gods.
He's not doing a great job.
While he normally appears as a not-quite-correct humanoid, his 'true form' as a n'ghftu is a writhing mass of darkness and devoured stars.
Did some thumbnailing for artwork for here, decided to give gradient map painting a go with this one! It was fun, and I have a lot to still understand with this, and BOY I forgot how fast I grow bored of rendering but!
Xutlātl, the intermediate god of Ascendance, Ambition, and Sought Power! He was originally a ordthay (human) who wanted to understand the way in which xeith ('demon') True Names work, and then attempted to give himself one - turning himself into this monstrous xeith-like beast. His body is extremely long and consists of lengths of 'torso' with arms - like a centipede. It winds through the submerged volcanic tunnels of the mountain he resides in, and he's not even sure where it ends! Just that somewhere in there, he's stuck, so he's not actually able to leave his mountain domain.
Xutlātl rules over his followers from the Ascendant's Spire as a king and as a god, and is one of the few deities that either cannot shift to a divine plane, or cannot pull his divine plane away from the material of Aanrah itself.
At long last, the base art for (almost) the races of Aanrah! Excluded are one very localized, tiny population species that I'm not quite settled in design for yet that I'm frankly in no rush to design, and the two hyper diverse races of the n'ghftu and 'monsters', who are just so disparate in look and size from each other that I'm not 100% sure how to represent them for the chart. I'll have to post individual posts for each race at some point, maybe after I get their clothed versions done!
Also the Knight token my husband asked me to make. Left me a sticky note this morning with 'Req: 2/2 Knight (no keywords)' so I drew his least favorite animal. It's a white knight, legally!
Getting back on my MTG bullshit with some blank tokens, wanted to test out pens/etc. and decided to engage in psychological warfare that will definitely only backfire on me, specifically.
Charmander adopts up on my Ko-Fi for $8 base! For $20, I will do a Charmeleon and Charizard version, and each additional $5 I will do another Charizard form of your choice!

Fuddling around with how I want to do the ref art for my various Pokemon ARPG mons! Because frankly, needed to find a balance between how I want to draw and what takes a reasonable amount of time when you have 1000+ Pokemon.

Not what I meant to be doing today but! Another shot at Kht'oth, the N'ghftu Elder God of Light, Spectrum, Energy, Movement, & Precipices.
The first to arrive to the well of power where Aanrah would eventually be made, Kht'oth is a incredibly ancient eldritch being who's seen the rise and fall of many worlds. Though he was convinced not to consume the power and allow a world to be made out of it, Kht'oth assumed he would care little about the inhabitants of Aanrah - as he had with previous worlds. Alas, a human sacrifice opened the door to the world of Feelings for a few brief and fleeing years, and now Kht'oth is a brooding, ticking timebomb, one mild inconvenience away from ending Aanrah once and for all for hurting him.
Trying to decide how I want to do art for characters for WA articles going forward - kinda thinking of just doing whatever vibes with them instead of trying to force them all in one style. Two I've messed around with - not settled on either piece, but!
Left - Kht'oth, the N'ghftu ('Eldritch Monstrosity') Elder God of Light, Spectrum, Energy, Movement, & Precipices - A bismuth and opaline skeleton light construct that is one hair trigger away from deciding it's Over for Aanrah
and
Right - Raisa, the Nuríian ('Unseelie' Fae) Intermediate God of Medicine, Restoration, & Resurrection - A very old ascended mortal fae who is very much sound of mind and body, does not have a complicated relationship with the Twilight King, and is definitely not doing modern-day drugs he's stolen from other planes.
Been frustrated so I was jumping around but we have a kīaezxīātl (left, ie 'endbringer') of the six-legged quadrupedal form!
I need to remember to just start posting thoughts here too hhh
