what you have to understand about Forbidden Fruits (2026) is that it is useful to compare it to Jennifers Body and Mean Girls and The Craft in subject matter but it is much more like its contemporary Do Revenge in that it is specifically reacting to 2010s internet politics and pop psychology. both are brilliant and funny and surreal but it is like Duchamp's "Fountain" if it was a buzzfeed article. friendly, FRIENDLY REMINDER that racheldrawsthis games were never meant to have a focus on homosexuality, and I don’t mean that in a bad way, because THE GAMES LITERALLY ARENT EVEN ABOUT ROMANCE PERIOD. The games are about horror. I believe all of them are about horror and have horror aspects. Yes we have rody and manon…ONE SIDED BTW AND EVEN THEN IT HELPS THE PLOT. Rody’s relationship with manon helps the plot of dead plate and if you don’t think that….please go play dead plate again. Racheldrawsthis does not need to put a homosexual relationship in a game where the focus is not about romance and/or homosexuality! In fact I’m pretty sure all their characters are queer by default and I like that! Yes it’s important to have media where gay guy gets his love interest or trans girl learns to accept herself but it’s just AS important to have media where the characters can just…be queer. Where the creator doesn’t have to DELIBERATELY put their gay character with someone. Vincent is casually gay, I like that, that’s good, he can exist without needing a partner. People who are queer in real life do not need a partner for it to be true that they are queer. It’s good to have media that doesn’t center around romance to have queer characters. We should want this casual inclusion. Where we can exist without the media having to outright state that the characters is gay or have to give them a partner.

I don’t care what anyone says, Vincent Charbonneau is the funniest character of all time. He got down bad for a guy he knew for a week. He was in a lavender situationship with that man’s ex before he killed her, made her into food and ate his crushes ear then got insulted when said crush called him a cannibal and said he didn’t eat any of his food. The game sets up a twist that he’s eating the employees and that’s why there’s so little, only to reveal that he’s just a really shitty boss. He gave the guy he had tied up on the floor in the freezer 15 seconds to escape, seemingly just because, then acted indignant and annoyed when he did not get very far. He eats raw lemons and nothing else. What is his fucking problem?

He ate bugs when he was a little kid and lost his taste as a result but somehow is still a chef. He's a lightweight and it's implied that he was blackout drunk the night he bit said man's ear off and tried to kill him, single-handedly traumatizing him for life. He's mean enough to press a chef's face towards a hot stove for disobeying him but still too shy to admit to another grown man that he made 5-star meals specifically for him instead of said 5-star, perfectly ready to serve meals being "leftovers", as he claimed. His reviews state that his food is robotic and not "made with love", his solution is to literally cook food with the human meat of someone that the person he was cooking for loved. When accused of being a cannibal by his crush and said crush asks if all of his food had human meat he instantly replies "no, that's disgusting" even though he was trying to make said crush eat human meat. Literally what in the world is his problem
