This Hearty Winter Quiche is a great dish to serve at a holiday brunch. It's a hearty dish that will please your guests in the winter, with savory ingredients like ham or bacon, spinach, and Gruyre cheese.
Ingredients: 1 pie crust store-bought or homemade. 6 large eggs. 1 cup milk. 1 cup grated Gruyre cheese. 1 cup diced ham or cooked bacon. 1 cup chopped spinach. 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper. 1/2 cup diced onion. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C. Put the store-bought pie crust in a pie dish and set it aside. If you're making your own crust, roll it out and put it in a pie dish. Put olive oil in a pan and heat it over medium-low heat. It will take about three to four minutes of cooking after adding the diced onions and red bell pepper. Whisk the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg together in a bowl. On the bottom of the pie crust, spread out the onions and red bell pepper that have been sauted. Put the cooked bacon or diced ham on top of the vegetables. On top of the ham or bacon, sprinkle chopped spinach. Mix the eggs and add them to the pie crust's ingredients. Grate some Gruyre cheese on top. Set the oven to 350F and bake the quiche for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down for a few minutes. Then cut it into pieces and serve. For a fun brunch, enjoy your Hearty Winter Quiche!
