Aztec death whistle

Sometimes described as the “scream of a thousand corpses” . This whistle does indeed sound like human screams and may have been used as psychological warfare.

If that isn’t creepy enough for you , the whistle was actually first published in 1999 after being discovered by archeologists at the temple of the wind god Ehecatl in Mexico. The death whistle was in the hands of a sacrificed 20 -year old male skeleton that was found buried infront of the temple .

Ehecatl (Nahuatl: meaning "Wind") was an Aztec god of the air and winds, especially those which brought rains. also this god was sometimes credited with giving the important maguey plant (Agave americana) to humanity.

However the exact original use and purpose for the death whistle have been lost but the speculated uses are pretty grim . It seems that it was a instrument used in the human sacrifice of slaves .
