Also wanted to show off a storage facility I built in Pokopia after the most recent update, it’s super nice having everything on hand and available with room for more if needed. And my partner’s favorite Pokemon, Umbreon, moved in shortly after so it was a nice one-two surprise.

I spent a large chunk of today absolutely in a chill zone, grinding classes and Monsters on DQX with Metal Tickets while binging like 10 episodes of Death Note. I even set it up on my Ayn Thor and rode my bike for a good 90 minutes. I am so sad it's over and it's back to reality tomorrow, but it was a lot of fun...and I will be able to chill more like this when my Doctorate is done and over.

Today I purchased and Christmas-wrapped a special Han Solo Has a Stroke action figure (which has been unopened longer than I’ve been alive) and made gingerbread Wookie cookies because I am doing a surprise Christmas in July for my friend…with the Star Wars Holiday Special as the main event. She’s a huge Star Wars fan but has never seen it so what better time than now? I also made breakfast casserole which her mom used to make for Christmas so that there’d be a least one actual thing and the rest are all goofy stupid things.

We’ll see if I still have a friend after this.

EDIT: I don’t even know what to say, other than that I just realized this is the first Star Wars film I’ve sat down and watched all of from start to finish.

Now that I am so back into Horizons, I wanted to give New Leaf another try. I got it on launch day as a teenager with money from my job at Sonic, and I remember loving the launch and playing just before E3 that year. But otherwise I have very little memory of it for some probably sad reason. Let's see how take 2 goes! (Sorry for the poor screen cap lmao)

Pokemon Lazarus finally is completed. I actually started it awhile back and played it a lot, then took a break right in front of the Elite Four for some reason…

If you’re looking for a fairly vanilla hack with a new region and story then this might be the one for you, if you haven’t already played Unbound. Stats are rebalanced to help make any Pokemon more fun to use and there are a handful of interesting but unofficial Megas, but for the most part this is a pretty straightforward Pokemon game. The QOL is unmatched too, you can freely edit IVs and EVs and there are in-game cheats for stuff like max rare candies and nuggets. I think my biggest complaint is that it takes way too long to get Fly. My favorite feature is the Zoo, which allows you to donate Pokemon to several different exhibits with nice rewards along the way - the puzzle of figuring out which of your Pokemon should go to which exhibits is interesting and it’s a nice way to use up boxed Pokémon that otherwise would sit in storage untouched. Will I go for 100% retro achievements, I don’t know, probably not.

Had to train my Calves of Steel in honor of the upcoming AJ Case 3 play through today. I have a neat set up with my bike on a trainer with a little folding table and my Switch 2 so I can grind Animal Crossing - today I spent two hours working on the freaking Nook Miles tasks and then grinding materials for the crafting tasks while listening to the Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 3 Audio Immersion Tunnel. God I’m a mess.

I almost missed today's hottest events due to once again being on nights, but thankfully I'm at the end of the stretch and just almost can settle down and enjoy watching the same music video several times and poor blind children being abused and accused.
