Some sentiments as we open tomorrow...

The NETCOT staff team is made up of magic wielding humans from across the globe who just happened to somehow cross paths. Some call it destiny and others call it fate. But maybe it’s that Disney Magic Mr. Disney spoke about.

I have been with this project since October of 2018. I have witnessed gigantic ups and downs and twists and turns and whirlwind days. But we (our team) always came out of it stronger, more glued, with better understandings of not only this project — but each other.

There’s something different about this group. Something that I can only describe as pure magic. We have been very concise in our selection of every single individual on this project. Just like any other team working on a project of this caliber, we are bound to get stressed, frustrated, and sometimes even discouraged. But we always have found our way back to one another. And that’s what makes our team so great. We’ve always been there to support one another, cheer each other on, and be there when someone needed support. It really has become a family, and it’s been an absolute privilege to witness it grow over the last almost two years.

When we started, I never expected to have almost 600 players in our community on the opening day of Beta testing and yet - the community came out in full force! Last night’s Passholder Preview was a true testiment to how special this game is, and has been, for the last 15 years.

When VMK closed, I never would’ve imagined that I would be on a team working to reboot it years later. Heck, I thought VMK would be gone forever. But I have watched this team and this community slowly grow to overwhelming proportions (so large, it wonkified our server last night!). It’s been the most beautiful thing to watch blossom, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead. Our teams hard work and dedication to this project will shine tomorrow I cannot wait for you all to experience the magic.

I can’t help but say it — we’re here. We made it.

To our fiercely talented team — thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the magic you bring to this world every single day. The smiles you bring, love you share, and the respect you have for one another. You truly are one of a kind, and I am forever grateful our paths have crossed. I have been living out my wildest dream with you all next to me, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I am so stoked for our future!

To our community — this game and its community is yours. It’s what you make of it and I can’t wait to see you continue to make it a safe, magical place for everyone. Thank you for your patience while we built this world for you.

Self & Mental Wellness Tips

Hi guys! We recently shared a non-traditional ‘be well’ resource list with our community discord, to help everyone navigate the uncertainty of the coming weeks ahead. 1. Quarantined away from family and friends? FaceTime, Skype, and Facebook Messenger are great ways to stay connected.

On a side note, Ariel is such a sunshine to our group and we’re so lucky to have her in all her mermaid-i-ness. And I’m very grateful to have been a long time fan turned friend. She’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting to know. So if all you care about is her talent, you’re missing out on meeting an incredible person.
