Rock at baby age.
once you stop fantasizing about that ideal version of yourself and start working towards becoming that person by setting your alarm clock earlier and actually going to the gym and actually volunteering at places and actually eating healthier and not procrastinating and working just a little bit harder you’ll realize that it was so easy all along. becoming your ideal self will only ever exist in your mind until you make the decision to work towards becoming that person. get up!! get going!! it’s now or never!! there is no light at the end of the tunnel!! get that flashlight and pave your own path bitch bc no one else is going to do it for u!!
You can replace [ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY] with [SCROLLING] but watch out. This sucks bad 👍
Some things about this post since getting quite a few notes:
1. If you see this post, highly recommend taking it as an opportunity to set a timer for 15 minutes and switch over to ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY. if after those 15 minutes, you want to go back to scrolling, that's okay!
2. Huge shout out to this popping up in my notifs often, bc I do go back to activity.
3. I think there are times where scrolling is fine. Right now, for example, I'm being connected to a machine for two hours to donate plasma and platelets. Yes this is a brag but it is also a time where scrolling is one of the few things I can do. (Though I will probably also read or watch something on phone lol)
hmmm, this seems to be some kind of curse breaking spell… be free ye reader
day 6 / ???
this is really interesting in how it frames disability/low spoons/etc as not being a series of internal symptoms, but specifically a situation in which daily tasks increase in complexity. for example i used to be able to wash the dishes normally. but now mental and physical issues combine to make that situation have a lot of prequalifications (do I have time, energy, how long can I do it without being sore the next day) that means many more steps are involved in getting that single physical act of washing a dish to be done.
I’m trying to remember the quote. “On a good day, doing laundry is three steps. On a bad day, the first step is getting out of bed.”
having a lot of skin imperfections like acne and scabs and scars all over my whole body is honestly a huge morality hurt. I don't hate my body but I hate the idea of undressing for someone beautiful and myself being... disappointing to them
how could anyone look past what covers my whole body

#vessel alert
that's right
carl jung girl you were so right about avoidance
“if we don't accept our own destiny, a different kind of suffering takes its place: a neurosis develops, and I believe that that life which we have to live is not as bad as a neurosis. if I have to suffer, then let it be from my reality. a neurosis is a much greater curse! in general, a neurosis is a replacement for an evasion, an unconscious desire to cheat life, to avoid something. one cannot do more than live what one really is. and we are all made up of opposites and conflicting tendencies. after much reflection, I have come to the conclusion that it is better to live what one really is and accept the difficulties that arise as a result-because avoidance is much worse.”
showering is basically a magical girl transformation for the mentally ill
it's like you're obsessed with your compulsions or something dude wtf lol
[progressive christian voice]: Christianity doesn't actually say [thing that has been church doctrine across most denominations for centuries]. Christianity actually says [recent theological concept which has been decried as heresy by the church establishment].
2026 will be my year and that is a threat
(Listened to Hopes and Dreams on repeat making this)
burn out
Internet hugs for anyone else out there dealing with burn out or other mental and/or physical issues that make it hard to interact right now
the desire to engage in my hobbies leaving my body as soon as I have the day off even though I was looking forward to it all week
I once heard a quote by a dude named Alan Watts that went “A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So, he loses touch with reality, and lives in a world of illusions” and now when I get trapped in an anxiety spiral that likes to pop in too
I think the internet might be like this as well actually
This quote may in fact be the philosophical highbrow equivalent of Bitch Go Touch Grass
ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME. YOU CANNOT TURN THE CLOCK BACK NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. YOU HAVE TO BUILD THE FUTURE.
I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE SCARED OR MISS THE PAST, YOU CANNOT, LOGICALLY, GO BACK TO THE PAST. DO NOT OVERINDULGE IN PERSONAL, ARTISTIC, POLITICAL OR IDEOLOGICAL NOSTALGIA. YOU HAVE TO BUILD THE FUTURE.
THE FUTURE IS THE ONLY THING WE HAVE. THIS IS NOT EVEN AN APHORISM. IT IS HOW LINEAL TIME WORKS.
ARE YOU LISTENING.
