hmm good question, i’m not too sure. I think especially when they are younger a lot of them get little crushes on each other to be honest. Definitely not Kathy though since she gets adopted by the Kents in my universe

1: what are some pranks Irey & Lian pull on Damian?

2: what about for Kathy and Maya for Jon?

3: for the team, any prank wars?

1. I think it would be typically small things, but Lian and Irey live to annoy him. I don’t think these would be pranks to normal people, but they would rearrange his training equipment, Irey would use her speed to take him to different parts of the tower. Lian would fill his locker with random things and definitely dressed up bat cow at some point

2. Kathy can read minds, and while typically she doesn’t pry, I think she will definitely poke fun at Jon for anything crazy he thinks about or start singing songs in his head to bother him. In terms of actual pranks, they definitely have decorated his room crazy and I think Kathy would get a baby cows or other animals from the farm and label them 1 and 3 haha

3. I don’t know if they have a full on prank war, I think Maya, Kathy, Irey, and Lian are the biggest prankers to be honest, but I definitely think they mess around and tease each other quite a bit

Hey, could you write how you imagine the team personalities? I wanna write a story myself but I need help with characterizations

Hi! So sorry for the delay here. I haven’t been as active as I’d like to be on this blog! I try and base it off the experiences and personalities that all the characters have in the comics, and then I expand from there. For example, Maya is shown to be pretty witty and sarcastic in her appearances in comics, but she also had quite a traumatic upbringing and while she may be dealing with it in a slightly different way, in my mind she would also initially struggle with “kid” stuff like Damian. Or for Kathy, she watched her whole family and planet die, so I imagine despite her friendly bubbly personality in the comics she may have trouble letting people in especially family. Some of the characters, more of the personality comes from my own imagination than others, but I think the way I have developed all of my YJ team’s personalities comes from the comics and then expanding on personality through their canon experiences and imagining how they would develop with age!

1. I don’t think so?? Tbh I haven’t thought of it so at least for now i’ll say no.

2. Absolutely. They definitely have all pulled pranks on each other. I think Irey and Lian would be big on pranks especially to Damian. Also I think Kathy and Maya are big fans of pranking Jon. They definitely all love to mess with each other.

3. I think as a whole team they are a big fan of Lion King and all the classic Disney animated movies and studio ghibli movies

3: who works best with who? Like Jon and Damian, Maya and Suren etc

1. I like to think that none of them are really the “leader”. Like in theory it’s Damian but it’s definitely not. I think they each lead where their strengths/experiences are. For example if a mission has to do with aliens Kathy would be the point person for that. I think in terms of talking to the league they all take turns and each person has a thing they are in charge of like Lian does the inventory stuff and Maya is the one to makes a lot of repairs to tech in their base.

2. Yes! They are based out of the “Treehouse of Solitude” which is Maya and Kathy’s base in the comics! It’s near Hamilton so in New York area and near to a few big cities. With their powers they are also able to travel quite quickly and help take their teammates without those abilities with them.

3. I think Jon and Damian initially worked together the most. They have all done missions with each other and all together at various points, but Maya, Damian, and Suren have definitely worked together a lot. Milagro, Kathy, and Jon. Lian and Damian for some stealth work for sure. Irey and Jai are obviously a package deal. I think a lot of the girls would do missions together. Maya and Kathy also do a bunch together, but I think they have done just about every combination a few times

4. I think Maps and Suren sorta serve as “honorary members”. I think initially Suren isn’t around as much and isn’t as into the hero stuff and instead comes and helps or hangs out when his friends ask him to. He definitely gets more involved when he’s older but initially I don’t think he’s an “official” member of the team. Same goes for Maps who i imagine doesn’t tell her parents and will sneak out or lie about what she’s doing to go hang out with NYJ on the weekends. She does eventually get combat trained but she initially is on comms only and isn’t there as much as the other and isn’t an “official” member

What powers does Suren Darga have? I thought he just had fire powers? Is he as good as a martial artist as Samian in your canon?

I think he eventually gets a little more advanced with the magic and fire powers as he gets older but primarily just magic powers that involve manipulating elements. I do think he’s as good of a martial artist as Damian but I think they have somewhat different strengths.

...So yeah! That's it. Amazingly, the only two OCs are Conrad and REDACTED, the rest are just updates to forgotten characters. (Jack is a little cheating maybe, that boy is dead in canon and was never Wonder Boy, but you know, technically not an OC--)

It's a crazy year for many things, including amazing art. I may do a 2025 retrospective post later, idk, but It's been a lot of fun working with everyone, and next year is only going to get crazier.
