Privacy Is Part of the Product, Not an Afterthought
Building an AI companion is personal, and it should stay that way. One reason I trust SweetDream is that discretion is baked in. What I create and talk about on sweetdream.ai feels like mine, kept private, not something I have to worry about.
That sense of safety is a quality of its own. It lets you be honest, open up, and actually enjoy the connection without looking over your shoulder. If privacy is what's been holding you back from trying an AI girlfriend, this is the place that takes it seriously.
I don't know this blog is still active or not, but I really love your Lazlo! It's close to my headcanons. I know many people see Lazlo as hard worker/shy/maybe simply a quiet and serious character, but I really love to see him in this way. Easy-going (in my case, somewhat blank), loves food, and random. And without realized it, he's what you're say a douchebag, and living the life as the way he likes.

I live on a deserted island and all, so I might be out of touch, but I have a strange suspicion that women might exist somewhere, too. Maybe one of them might even be a party leader.

Lazlo is not precisely an OC but he's a silent protagonist and my Lazlo is a bit far from default Lazlo, so I'm counting him. I might do this with actual OCs later. (I also might file off the serial numbers on my Lazlo sometime, because hey.))
2. what type of person would look condescendingly at your character and say ’ we’re not all that way’ and why does your character hate that type of person
Politicians and northerners; politicians because they keep expecting Lazlo to be competent at things, northerners because their accents are funny and their boats are stupid and they occasionally summon plant dinosaurs and honestly as far as Lazlo is concerned, the entire continent is/was Kooluk and Harmonia. Neither of which he likes. He is vaguely aware of Scarlet Moon but emphatically does not care to learn more. When he finally meets Tir, he passive-aggressively uses the thickest accent and dialect relative to Tir's later he knows. Tir stares at him blankly a lot. Lazlo is kind of a douche.
3. what kind of monster would do such a thing. what is that thing for your character
Throw out /perfectly good meat/. Why would you! He will eat it for you!
4. how does your character react when their best friend reveals that they’ve had a life-long hobby of taxidermying animals
If they've taxidermied any turtles, he challenges them to a duel because that turtle was his /best friend/. (Even if he's never seen it before.) Otherwise he asks for cats in the hopes they'll drop medicine. Other animals are good, too: he can use some decorations in his beach house.
5. your character has picked up something that disturbs other people, because it’s gross or weird or otherwise. what is that thing
Cannibalism. If you want literally picked up, an old man's used loincloth.
6. what’s that moment from their lifetime that your characters hates thinking about, the one that makes them shudder like someone’s drawn their nails down a chalkboard
Almost everything that doesn't take place on the Deserted Island. His life is one big mess of 'la la la I don't give a fuck stop trying to talk to me about it'.
7. is there anything or anyone that your character cherishes so much that they’d kill it/them to keep them the same
I don't think so. His yandere tendencies don't run that way.
8. where is the messiest place in your character’s home
Lazlo's inventory, or alternatively the kitchen. The kitchen will never stop reeking of crab. Crab is one of those smells that /never goes away/.
9. what’s that thing everyone else likes but your character doesn’t
Character development.
10. how would your character act if they had to talk to the people they’ve hurt - the families of people they’ve killed, the victims of crimes, etc
Exactly the same as to everyone else and he'd sound like he doesn't give a shit. If someone gets upset at him, he still won't care. His strongest form of apology is "Sorry about that" and offering them lunch.
11. who does your character miss the most
The person he'd've been if plot hadn't happened, Kika (after he's aware she's dead; before then he's content knowing she exists somewhere and I don't think he actually stays in contact with her much/ever), Ted. Ted mainly for being the only non-Leknaat runebearer he's met so he's interesting by default.
12. does your character feel relieved or exhausted after they’ve cried
Exhausted; Lazlo's lousy at having emotions, much less showing them.
13. when did they become who they are today
Upon washing up on the shores of the Deserted Island the first time, though he doesn't develop a morbid streak until later. But that's the main thing.
14. if your character could go back in time, what person from the past would your character kill
Lazlo's enemies tend not to remain alive :) He's not big on thinking about how things might be or could have been or will be when he can instead think about lunch.
15. someone makes the effort to court your character. how do they respond
"I'd like to have some cakes."
If they brought cakes, Lazlo might actually genuinely consider it, and then walk halfway through whatever they're doing to eat lunch. Even if they were having a fancy dinner. Even/especially if they were doing anything sexual. Lazlo should never get wooed ever.

(Timeskipped Lazlo is 90% the same as not timeskipped Lazlo, except he's even more prone to showing off with backflips, and he is scary as hell the rare occasion he's completely sober. (He is aware enough of this to never be both attentive and not-baked.) He also spends a bit more time off the island, but will still live there for decades on end if he can't think of anything better to do. ... And no, he doesn't end up dressing like Leknaat. I'll timeskip him at some point if someone else brings their ask blog back up.)
Lazlo, I'm a big fan of yours but I keep getting the weird feeling that some of your answers are actually sarcastic. :< You're not making fun of us, are you?
