a common occurrence: anakin speaking passionately about something before padmé replies, voice steady, while interlacing her fingers in his hair. this is something she does often to soothe him, already offering him reassurances and comfort over whatever he was concerned about. she brushes through his hair, nails dragging carefully over his scalp. his expression goes content and glassy, grounded in her touch. the previous fire he felt cools to something that burns less. padmé is also extremely intelligent, so whatever solutions she offered are logical enough to let his thoughts quiet for now.

i think there’s a lot of interesting, nuanced discussions to had abt whether or not mileven would choose to have kids or choose to be childfree but i cannot stand the popular reddit/twitter take that el “shouldn’t” have kids bc her blood is dangerous or that, if she did have children, she’d become mike’s trad wife

el has been stripped of damn near every choice her entire life. she’s been forced to give up nearly her entire life and certainly her entire childhood because of government treating her like a disposable pawn. why should she be forced to give up her future? why are we so comfortable sacrificing women’s autonomy like this? the decision should ultimately lie with her - not with the fear of government intervention. like that is the basest and honestly most lukewarm take you can have on this and somehow i see people failing to have even that

and don’t get me started on this el would be a trad wife narrative? where is there even a hint of that? mike literally calls her superman and himself lois lane? neither would be wholly content to just stay at home and only mind the children but it certainly wouldn’t be mike forcing el to do so? are some of you okay???

I love that Mike and El are both passionate for they're hobbies it's such a sweet thing they have in common even if their hobbies could not be more different than night and day!! Mike's a little more of a stereotypical "bookish" nerdy with his d&d etc... while El is crafty she likes making models and clay figures, drawing, scrapbooking, soap operas and miami vice. I love how cute and homely they are!!
