Sooo..it’s been a few years 😅. A lot has happened in life. I moved house twice, a failed relationship, a bipolar diagnosis and of course I stopped playing the sims.

But I’m back again! I’ll have to relearn how to mod as my brain has decided not to remember how and blender is still, as always, being a pain.

Thank you to all the creators who have updated my hairs for the new (not so new now) swatches. My current hair mods are retired, I just wanted to let everyone know that you can include meshes in your recolours and edit them however you like as long as you credit me if you do so!

I hope to start making new hair mods soon ❤️❤️❤️

Aurora Hair & Hair Net

Happy friday! It's another hair!

This was originally meant to be a V3 of the Euphemia hair, but I felt it deserved a new name - especially since it comes with its own hair accessory! (and because the hair accessory currently does not work with the Euphemia hairs, oops!)

The hair is a frankenmesh, with the mesh included.

Currently this hair accessory does not work with the Euphemia hair set due to UV mapping. However, I plan to update the Euphemia hair set with UV mapping that would work for pairing with this, since the buns sit in the same position on all 3 hairs.

1700s WOMEN - PART 1

The commencement of the 1700s saw women's hair styles stay fairly demure, but it wouldn't take long for them to become much more elaborate. The popularity for wigs in men's styles crossed over to women, and as such hair styling opened up to wider experimentation. The development of heated curling tongs - paired with wool pads and wire supports - helped achieve the voluminous dos synonymous with the era. CC links and reference images under the cut.

1500s WOMEN - PART 1

The 1500s was a century of innovation when it came to hairstyles, with the introduction of both metal hair pins (1545) and wigs (1572). These pins were used to hold wires and pads in place that essentially acted as scaffolding for the shaped hairstyles popular during this period. The religious modesty of previous centuries was cast aside for the first time, with young married women now uncovering their tresses. The ideal hair was curly and fair or red, a fad influenced by British monarch Queen Elizabeth I. CC links and reference images under the cut.
