omf, i'm so sorry for abandoning this roleplay blog without prior notice, i'm such a fail. i lost my muse for the longest time 'cause of getting into other things and real life / college obligations, but the motivation has finally (sorta kinda) returned, though i have a new chiaki muse this time. i won't be deleting this blog as of yet, but feel free to unfollow as i will be inactive here from now onwards.

reasons why i've been on a hiatus under the cut: 

my younger cousin slept over for five nights since christmas (i'm alive and well tyvm). whenever she's with me, i basically have little to no time to myself, nevermind tumblr (i'm not saying she and i don't get along, that is not true, we're like sisters and we share similar interests.). 

i attribute my negative mood as of late to the things that have been occurring simultaneously within the family (not enough for me to be depressed, but still).

i've been distracted / wholly engrossed by my playing games. yes, mun is very much like her muse. 

i've been more active on my multifandom (main) blog. 

i'm sorry, i'm a fail, but my motivation is currently nonexistent at best. i bet it'll return sometime (hopefully before college classes commence again). i shall strive to do my best this year, yeaahhh fighting.

Even if the emerald turned out to be magical, she wasn’t inclined to steal another individual’s possessions for whatever reason.

"...Oh, I'm playing PixelJunk Monsters Encore. It's a tower defense game." Chiaki's replied offhandedly, rose-coloured eyes fixated once again on the gaming console's colourful screen whilst she simultaneously conversed (albeit distractedly) with Carmen. "I enjoy playing games, you see. ...So what brings you to this town, Hinagiku?" A prolonged pause, as if she forgot about the other's presence entirely; that, however, was not the case.

"I heard that Christmas is in less than a week. ...That's when people exchange gifts, sing songs called carols, decorate Christmas trees, and spend time with their families, right? I've played a few Christmas games before, so I know who Santa Claus is...Anyway, Christmas sure sounds like a happy holiday. I wonder if I'll get any gifts on Christmas...?"

"Ah! Sorry…I didn’t see you." Chiaki had nearly stumbled backwards, taken aback as she accidentally collided with a stranger. She was leisurely strolling around the unfamiliar suburbia whilst wholly enwrapped in playing a real-time strategy game on her PSP, ergo she failed to see the ginger in time. Upon hearing a faint thud on the concrete pavement, she turned her gaze downwards and spotted a small emerald lying by her feet. It must have fallen off when they had bumped into each other. She bent down to pick up the green-coloured gemstone, then extended her left palm towards the girl to give it back to its rightful owner. "Here."

❀ The ginger took the emerald from the girl’s hand, carefully attaching it back onto her shirt. “Ah, thank you very much for returning this! I am sure I would have raised a commotion if it got lost..” And it was true, Carmen’s motives to murder people were as colorful as the colours on the pink-haired girl’s game station. 

❀ ”Hm.. My name is Carmen Hinagiku. Again, thank you for not taking the valuable jewel.”
