The Heartstopper webcomic has now concluded.
Epilogue letter in text form:
This friendship means so much to me.
guys i’m so sorry to say this but exercising and indulging in hobbies rather than scrolling on your phone for 200 hours actually does improve your mood and overall mental health, this has deeply upset me more than anyone
there seems to be a fundamental disagreement between microwave oven manufacturers and the producers of microwave meals over whether the customer should know the wattage of their microwave or if such details should be abstracted away from them
the microwave rice demands 800 watts of power for 2 minutes, but all the microwave can offer me three settings: one low, one high, and one somewhere in the middle. I turn it to the one in the middle as I happen to know 800W is the average power of most microwaves. the light comes on and the bag of rice starts slowly turning, but rather than hearing the usual rumble of the microwave, I instead start hearing short snippets of conversation - words snatched from the ether. the lights flicker and a chill runs up my spine. the voices remind me of those "spirit boxes" ghost hunters use. I double check the setting on the microwave. "ah," I say, remembering that I had set it to medium,
not my circus not my monkeys but thanks to my mutuals i know some of the lore
please. please tell me Ryland is gonna do a slight tiny bit of phone snooping. or Simon misclicks something, please, I beg of you
i can’t spoil itttt
new chapter will come out today tho :]
always some new bullshit in the ocean
Why is it always orcas or dolphins
Why can't a salmon do some bullshit for once
worry not ☝️ they're doing coke
went into a wine shop the other day to buy pasta and they did not have pasta but they were doing a wine tasting so i thought what the hell. and got to chatting with the other woman there because we had both just come from the library and were comparing our books and sipping wine and turns out we’re both teachers so we got on the topic of phones in classrooms—and the guy pouring our wine was like ‘that’s actually a point of contention in one of my divorces right now.’
and i very delicately said ‘one of your divorces?’ and his eyes got really big and he said I’M A PARALEGAL
i started reading this book and kept tilting my head at the comparisons the author was using so i started a running list of them
this author's use of imagery is so questionable
i actually went "what the fuck" and had to stop for like 5 minutes after this one
i understand (on paper) why companies are anti-piracy but its funny when random individuals are also strongly anti-piracy. like how does it negatively affect your life if someone you know downloads a cracked torrent of sims 4. you dont work for EA. EA isnt gonna pay you for this. you lose nothing. its fine. chill out.
it should be socially acceptable to wear whatever type of clothes you want anywhere and i am not kidding
dress is an indicator of status that poor people, people of color, disabled people, some religious people, and women consistently fail to meet due to social prejudice or barriers to acquiring the appropriate clothing
obviously there are scenarios where specific clothing is required (like PPE at a job site)
but a person coming to an office job in sweatpants doesn't make them less qualified to do their work, it just means they're more comfortable while doing it
"you're required to wear a face shield, an apron/coat, and closed toed shoes in this lab environment for your safety" awesome perfect, i love safety, and i can wear whatever i want under it.
"you're required to wear a suit to present your lab work" i do not become less intelligent wearing non-formal clothing, and this presentation has now become inaccessible to someone who cannot wear appropriate formal dress
I FORGOT FAT PEOPLE IN MY ORIGINAL REBLOG, DONT REBLOG WITHOUT INCLUDING FAT PEOPLE
Wow I binged Your Biggest Fan last night and I’m actually obsessed 🥹🥹 channeling waiter!simon was the only thing getting me through my serving shift from hell tonight tbh

and okay like. everyone hold my hand. can- WITH LOVE. can I, with love, talk about how I hate the fan-perception that grace cries too much. you guys. he cries a NORMAL AMMOUNT for a MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER who was KIDNAPPED and sent to SPACE!!! WITHOUT HIS CONSENT!!! yes yes leaky alien blob leaky leaky leaky I GET IT okay but like. the first time I watched phm every time ryland cried I was right there CRYING WITH HIM. this is just what happens when we've stopped normalizing the "male main charcter doesn't cry" thing, okay??? there is not a SINGLE time in this movie where we spend time on the ryland tear ducts that doesn't make sense / deserve it!!! I will always fight and say that Dr. Ryland Grace cries A Normal Ammount considering the circumstances he's under!!!
I actually think he doesn't cry enough for the circumstances he's in
I'd never stop sobbing if I was in his shoes and I barely actually cry as it is
