I’ve finally finished this big boy of a piece! It took my almost two months since my huion broke and then I lost the inspiration that I had while sketching this artwork. Well I hope you’ll like it!🫐 As a gift for the wait, please take these sketches of my dear twins as an apology <3

The Shadow Family Even though Suzanne had been exploring the Kingdoms since they first adopted her, she still wasn't able to grasp the full extent of the magic that lay within.

She couldn't justify the royals' behavior; anger burned within her, desperate for justice. That was why she had accepted Zakran's conditions in forming a team ready to overthrow them.

She put her head in her hands; it was clear she couldn't concentrate. She creaked from her old chair to pick up the newspaper clipping Zakran had kept inside One Thousand and One Nights.

It was a family photo; the Queen was the tallest, as if she towered over the King, who was merely a shadow behind her. Long dark hair framed her face, as pale as the spaces between the words in the newspaper, and she showed no expression, just like Zakran. She was undoubtedly the most curious to observe, able to exude a spiritual aura even through the page. The King, on the other hand, seemed flat and submissive, a forced smile making him even more insignificant. At their feet, the twins held hands. They didn't look that much alike, even though their colors were the same. She found the little girl to have an elegance all her own; a gothic-style dress paired with her slicked-back hair made her look picturesque. Her brother, on the other hand, chilled her blood with his downcast gaze. If his little sister was the epitome of poise, he was the exact opposite, with his patched clothes and disheveled hair.

And yet, in that cold photo, Suzanne sensed a certain warmth, perhaps from the twins' intertwined hands; she wasn't sure they were posing, unlike their parents. Now they were grown up, she wondered if she would see them again at the ball, and she couldn't contain her excitement. She put the clipping away, not wanting to be overwhelmed by emotion.

🌙 "The twins, despite having spent most of their lives together, were not united. Sure, they protected each other from problems and the malicious comments of the nobles, but they had been put in competition so much in their childhood that they always hoped for each other's failure, imbued with an abnormal and languid desire to shine more. A feeling that existed more in the younger brother than in Saffron."
