Nothing proves the characterizations in the remake are spot-on quite like the gif of Barret and Cloud kicking and stabbing a locked door.
I feel like if you didn't at least try to swing the sword, you're either going to: • Look like you're being lazy compared to your buddy who's trying their best to open the door(?)
• Make your pal look like an idiot in comparison to you (not cool)
• Just wait around like a nerd. Do you want to look like a nerd?
This is actually the best move as it makes it look like there's some vestige of a chance that smacking the giant door will actually move the door.
