Really wanted to make a post highlighting how "mental" agere can be. Often times, agere won't be visible. Of course, it can manifest itself in more "physical" ways like: chewing onto your sleeves/ fingers, being quieter, looking more sleepy/ down, a need for closeness, etc. But agere is primarily mental, which then leads to physical manifestations. Agere can be hidden, especially when it is a coping/ defense mechanism, unlike childhood developmental regression or other instances of the likes. And so, yes, a lot of the times agere can be like: a lack of motivation to do more "adult" things, getting uncomfortable with mature topics, feeling estranged with your body, wanting to engage in simpler things (coloring, pretend play, watching movies...), feeling alienated by your bodily age, having a hard time being by yourself, etc. All of these things are wants/ needs that can be surpressed, easily or not. Most people that regress don't even know about it. Actually, most people regress at some point in their lives. Some regress more than others, which are usually the people that identify as regressors. Regression is primarily mental... something that happens after accute exhaustion, or as a way to manage it.
With all that, what I mean to say is: don't be insecure if you've got no agere gear, or if you're not interested in it at all, or if your regression isn't aesthetic, or if no one knows about it... Agere is more complex, and very personal. Do not fall for the "internet-afied" version of it. You're still valid.
