And despite tumblr staff insisting that the CEO was acting against their interests, the broad transmisogyny evident in the site's culture and moderation policy has still not been adequately addressed?

Expert mode: Set a timer for one minute and put down your phone. Do anything else. (Take deep breaths, go get a drink, pick up a book or craft.) If you can do this, aspire to two or five minutes and keep increasing your time away from scrolling. (Use your phone to play music, a podcast, or an audiobook if this prevents you from picking it up again)

has anyone heard the latest za/um news? apparently playtests for zero parades were coming back with a lot of criticism of the prose as lacking some of the je ne sais quoi of disco elysium, so they've been training a homemade AI model primarily on sacred and terrible air for the sake of helping recapture the spark. Reportedly some spy fiction and thrillers such as the Bond canon and the man who was thursday are being incorporated to "help fit the za/um house style more appropriately to the new genre we're excited to explore". Its honestly sickening that instead of properly compensating the people who built their success for them they insist on imitating that work for such artless, capitalistic attempts at making lightning strike twice, to the point of building this amazing digital Kurvitz.

I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?
