dog thoughtsĀ
Wilhelm Kuhnert (German, 1865ā1926), "Rock Dove, Wood Pigeon, European Turtle Dove, and a Pouter Pigeon"
a person from 150 years ago would be terrified by modern stuff . however , a duck from 150 years ago would just be all like ,still got lakes? yes ? okay cool
āHow fleeting are all human passions compared with the massive continuity of ducks.ā
ā Dorothy L. Sayers, Gaudy Night (1935)
Reblogging again because I thought they changed the quote so I decided to look up the actual quote and itās not fake that is very much the actual quote
chronic illness will have you thinking things like oh no i shouldnt take painkillers. it only feels like i got my spine beaten with a loose piece of plumbing three days ago and my ribs gently extricated and reintroduced, ill save the paracetamol for a twenty-seven screwdrivers in my guts day or perhaps a crowbar repeatedly in the skull day :))
wanted 2 draw it
the among us playing poker is now available as an art board on my acg good store in poorly cropped fashion. if you wanna see more like this from me in the future this is a good start!
āmonsters in the backroomsā is still such a funny concept to me
āhereās a space thatās odd and makes you feel uniquely alone, like no one has ever been here before, but donāt worry, we put a critter in here because we thought that was boringā
So you only like the first 62 words of the 80 word post that established the concept? Fascinating.
yes
like that last paragraph is exactly what I described; an author overplaying their hand because they donāt grasp that the space being empty is far more interesting than anything you could possibly put into it
there are 1001 one things you can put into the backrooms that are more interesting than monsters
once you have done that, find something else to do with your creative efforts. not everything needs to be suitable for a video game.
no. wander my halls for 10,000 years.
Let people enjoy things! Creativity doesnāt belong to one person. One manās trash is another manās backrooms entity lol let it be.
maybe they don't like being called names. have you ever thought about that
You couldnt come up with a jollier name for a bird if you tried
this thang has one of my favorite ebird descriptions of all time
by the fourth or fifth time you "come back wrong" no ones even impressed anymore
and good luck explaining things to your insurance provider!
I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.
this is actually literally how every day felt in high school
