You know those little Starbucks Frappuccino bottles? I tried really hard to just recycle them when they were empty... I really did. But that voice in my head just wouldn't let it go. So on a rainy monday when I had many other things i really NEEDED to do, I found myself digging through the recycling bin so that I could spend my day doing what I really WANTED to do instead. Dear Rifle Paper,  Have I told you lately that I love you? Have I told you that your prints and artwork speak to me like no other? Oh I know, there are doubters who will question my infatuation for you; they will say things like..."I mean, it's flowers...it's not like it's the Mona Lisa or anything" but they just don't get it. It's more than just 'flowers'...it's the color combinations you so brilliantly employ, it's the sophisticated simplicity of your prints...they are rich in color, but simple at the same time! How do manage to pull that off? The whimsy of your designs never ceases to pull me in. And you are always there when I need you. You knew that I had been looking for that certain 'something' to fill a blank space on my office wall and 'bam' I walk into a store and there you are, in all your glory, proudly proclaiming "Lynn, here I am! I am just what you have been looking for!" Many walked right by you saying, 'Oh, what pretty wrapping paper' but heard your siren song and knew you were destined for greater things. I saw you and said "I will frame this wrapping paper and it will be the denouement and crowning glory of my office wall that has sat bare for way too long!" Yes Rifle Paper, not only did I use your wrapping paper for an easy DIY art piece, but I salvaged a leftover piece and transformed some ho-hum pencil holders as well...my love for you runs that deep. If Rosemary were a real person, they would probably have taken out a restraining order on me already. I’d be that gal holding up the poster that reads “Rosemary, you make my life complete!” with a whole bunch of 👄👄👄👄 smattered all over the sign. I’d know exactly where Rosemary lives and would be the president of the ‘We ❤ Rosemary’ fan club. My crush on Rosemary is right up there with my past crushes on Bobby Sherman and Barry Gibb. I use rosemary in my salads, on my meats and in my appetizers. I have baked cookies with rosemary and Mrs. Meyer’s Rosemary hand soap sits on my kitchen counter. So yeah, I have a thing for Rosemary.
