PSA: How medicine can fuck you up:
I didn’t want to talk about this because I went to Philly WW, and well…just read.
Ok, Philly was a disaster (for me anyway). This was my third attempt to get to a con. Maybe my expectations were to high, maybe because after a year I was so excited to be there…well whatever.
First, I got snapped at by the woman behind the table to put my phone away when I got my autograph. Then I got probably 11 seconds total for 2 pics with him. (Guys, I KNOW I sound like a whiny bitch. You’re probably thinking, you met him, stfu. But keep reading, it’s important!)
So, I get home, and I can’t stop crying. I’m bawling. I threw away my Funko Bucky, deleted my pics from my phone and tablet, came close to deactivating. I was not blaming Seb, but I was a fuckin mess.
So here’s what happened: I was coming off one depression med and starting another on those days. You know those commercials where they say “if you have suicidal thoughts…” Well for two days, I thought: what would it be like if I died? I got up at 7 and dreaded the entire day. I honestly didn’t know how I could survive the whole day.
It scared the fuck out of me. I mean, DEACTIVATING MY ACCOUNT??!! Christ, if I actually did that, I’d have a legitimate reason to bawl!!!
So PLEASE, if you are suicidal TALK TO SOMEONE!! And pay attention to your meds. Me, dipshit that I was, didn’t see the connection.
I’m not singling out people who I think are suicidal/depressed/anxious, I want to make sure that this gets to a lot of people so nothing serious happens, so pleeease reblog
