reminder that if you are unable to understand that cis women can be rapists, and that trans women can be (and disproportionately are) victims of all manner of sexual violence, your feminism is worth than worthless, it's actively reactionary + dangerous to the most marginalized women in your life.
a single trans woman asserting her womanhood has done more to 'abolish the gender binary' than 10,000 cis women refusing to wear makeup or shave ever will.

And since we don't face direct punishment for missing positive social cues like we do for negative ones, our coping skills and compensatory hypervigilance don't develop the same way. It's so weird to me how people talk about advances in robotics as if we aren't in the "flying IEDs" era of warfare. the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.
also to be clear bc some people have mentioned it, theres already aspects of peoples appearance that are 10000% exclusive to a specific ideology (a tattoo of a fascist symbol, for example) but i really dont think you can count that as insulting someone based on their appearance because the appearance isn't the problem. idc if the tattoo looks good or bad i care that this person is broadcasting their fascist views to the world. i hope the difference is obvious,
