@nuuudl
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

I've been in a bit of an art funk lately, so I decided to do a little redraw of this piece from 2021.
did you predict the bloody mary ship
ive invented (note: dubious claim) something i call the bear diet which is mostly fruits and vegetables with fish as the main protein source and something like once a month you eat a few hyperprocessed foods of your liking because that is when you, the bear, raid a dumpster in the suburbs
after the hyperprocessed foods, do you take tranquilizers to simulate getting captured by animal control and returned to the wild?
i would settle for melatonin gummies but well. knock yourself out
Reblogging this manually. Op doesn't want credit for fear of being terminated.
Curious pebble (2/?)
Part 1
I'm kind of obsessed with character arcs. The idea that the purpose of a person is to change. The way to make a character feel "real" is to have them respond to their experiences, and become someone else.
I'm obsessed with figuring out where my arc is. Did I already complete it? Was it transitioning? Was it building a career? Is it dealing with my anger? That arc isn't going anywhere fast. Maybe my arc started recently when I picked up guitar, or maybe it started even more recently, when I got into the local trans scene. Maybe it hasn't started at all. Maybe it starts when I'm 40, or 60.
And maybe my arc isn't a positive one. Maybe my arc isn't the story of a strong, young woman overcoming adversity and learning from it. Maybe it's a woman's descent into despair, an arc where she pushes everyone away and ruins her own life. Maybe this is the last hope before it all goes south.
Humans don't work like this, of course. Stories work like this, but a human life isn't a story. I'm not a character, my existence doesn't serve a narrative purpose, there is no writer trying to make a salient point using my life. I just exist. I just am. But that means I'm never done. Characters get to have their arc and finish it and then that's who they are. I'm jealous of that. I have to keep changing.
My long term memory is fucking shot. Too much trauma when I was little made me a bit too good at not remembering things. Childhood's mostly blank, anything older than a few months already gets fuzzy. The only things that stick are things that made a huge impact. Everything else leaks out of me. My friends know not to expect me to remember anything. It's not something I can help.
Problem is, I can't really remember what I used to be like. I'm constantly changing, but if I can't remember where I've been, am I really changing at all? Did the tree make a sound when I can't even remember if it fell or not? A single point on a graph does not an arc make. And the points behind me keep getting erased. The only way I know I've changed is because people tell me I have. Or because they expect things from me that I can't see myself doing.
Sometimes I read old posts on this blog just to see what kind of person I used to be. I'm often confused and disturbed by what I find. Does that mean I changed for the better? Or the worse? Who's even to say?
I only ever exist right now.
I tried drawing random animals from memory in 2 minutes (based on a spilled ink video) but at the elephant I realised I'm really not good at it :'D So I ended up redrawing them with references just to see the difference, and ended up spending way too much time on it.
Part 2!
Went back and finished the video. There were more animals I never saw before (and one where I accidentally drawn a different one :"D ) but it's all done!
the thing about misogyny is that femininity is both devalued AND forced on women (and those misgendered as women). if you fail to meet the arbitrary standard of Womanly Charm you're ugly and unwanted and hate yourself and if you succeed you're shallow and brainless and weak. if you don't try to conform you're lazy and if you do you're vain. it is not possible to beat this system. feminism needs both "feminine doesn't mean weak or less-than" AND "women don't have to be feminine to have value", and if you are fighting for one of these the people fighting for the other are not your enemies, nor are they privileged over you.
this post is inclusive of trans people, including but not limited to trans women and transfeminine people. exclusionary sentiment is not welcome.

"Hey there pepperhead, legal isn't super exited about this tweet"
Eridian language not carrying any tone (when translated to English at least) paired with autistic Grace is awesome because Rocky essentially speaks with tone tags added on the end of his sentences. This is very useful for Grace. Statement.

I don’t usually post about acquisitions from the NYC Trans Archives, but this one is too cool not to share. We recently obtained 1 of the 2 known remaining copies of the censored 1933 German booklet “Wie erlange ich eine vollendete Büste?” (“How do I achieve a perfect bust?”). It advertises an early estrogen compound using a patient who was assigned male at birth.
The text shows that not only were hormones readily available to trans people in the 1930s, but actively advertised to them. Nazis targeted this specific book in the 1930s, leaving only a few copies left in existence. This text, along with hundreds of other rare trans books, zines, and ephemera, will be available for viewing next year when NYCTA opens to the public.
Canon/Headcanon likelihood chart
So I've been thinking about @macdenlover 's "levels of headcanon" chart (about how heavily a HC is influenced by canon), so I decided to make my own scale about how likely a HC is to be true (including different levels of canon) using queer cartoon characters as examples :)
I just spent an hour making this because I was bored. Enjoy. Image description under the cut.

I’ve been trying to share this since I found out. They are moving onto harassing people in Memphis.
Community members face retaliation for trying to spread the word out, a lawsuit alleges.
Everyone was lovely in getting the word out about Chicago and Minnesota. I want to spread that awareness for folk in tennessee.
