Several documentaries publically treating Luigi Mangione as guilty before his trial even started got released over the past 2 months.
Here's the billion dollar companies behind them.
The thing about Trump dementia is he will lose the ability to refrain from telling the truth after the deception has already happened.
I feel like this tweet matches up well with this one
And this is after you account for the voter suppression.
Motherfucker didn't even hit 50%, for the third time running.
It's sickening that so many voted for him, but a landslide it is not, and a popular mandate for him to do whatever he wants it is not.
timeline:
- Trump signs unpopular order banning TikTok for being Chinese
- Democrats support the ban because people are supporting a ceasefire on TikTok
- Netanyahu sides with Trump despite Biden’s ass kissing and collaborates with him to delay ceasefire talks
- Dems lose in a landslide because of their deeply unpopular positions
- Trump takes credit for the ceasefire and for TikTok getting unbanned
ooooh, so we're not even a LITTLE bit gonna pretend it wasn't all a political stunt
just. as a reminder.
Oh yeah. This was 100% some kind of stunt. The very direct mention of the orange fucker isn’t subtle.
Trump isn't president [again] until tomorrow. He doesn't have the legal power to do anything until then.
As president, he can't unilaterally overturn a law that the Supreme Court - somehow - ruled isn't unconstitutional, but he could be really lax about the execution of the law.
I'm thinking it's going to be really important these next few years to emphasize what the president can and cannot legally do.
Rural areas used to basically have privatized fire departments. I can remember my parents having to buy a fire tag from the fire department so they’d put out a fire if you had one. They were metal tags and if I remember correctly they were good for a couple of years. Ours was nailed to a telephone pole at the end of the driveway so the fire department could find it when they pulled up. But unfortunately not everyone bought the tags and some people lost their homes because of it.
Adult Transgender Legislative Risk Map, November 2024
This map is made and maintained by transgender journalist Erin Reed. She read all 550 bills targeting trans people in America in 2023 and 586 so far in 2024 and she scores state safety based on proposed and enacted legislation. She regularly updates the map (including explanations of recent legislative changes) on her site. She has a separate map for trans youth (which: warning, is even more scary), since a lot of policies target minors specifically.
It’s depressing as all hell, but Erin does great work and I’ve been using her maps to plan my career and vacations for years. It’s helped me figure out where to apply for grad school, and helps me keep track of what states I cannot do a layover in while flying because of bathroom bills.
If you want to truly understand wealth inequality, think of money as if it was time.
The annual salary for a federal minimum wage worker is $1 per second for 4 hours.
The annual salary for a median wage worker is $1 per second for 17 hours.
An annual salary of $1 per second for 1 day would put you in the top 32%.
An annual salary of $1 per second for 2 days would put you in the top 9%.
An annual salary of $1 per second for 3 days would put you in the top 4%.
An annual salary of $1 per second for 4 days would put you in the top 2%.
An annual salary of $1 per second for 5 days would put you in the top 1%.
Elon Musk's net worth is $1 per second for 14 millenniums.
Weak men need weak men.
Spine removal is peak MAGA masculinity.
The Shape of Ideas
Meta/Facebook worked with Cambridge Analytica and Russia to micro-target and infleunce 2016 election. No one did shit about it.
