Mergana AU :  Arranged  Marriage.

To end the long warfare between Camelot and Albion, King Uther and King Balinor decided to join the Lady Morgana and Prince Merlin in the bond of marriage. Merlin arrived to Camelot to meet Morgana and the rest of the royal family. Needless to say, neither the future wife nor the future husband were content with that. However, Merlin was determined to make Morgana at least like him before the marriage was established.

arthur in this scene breaks me entirely. he's still in his "idolizing uther" phase. he's just hanging back guiltily with his head down and his eyes averted even when morgana and uther start shouting, even when uther is talking to him. but then uther snaps and tries to choke morgana and judging from her and arthur's faces this is probably the first time uther lays a hand on her. and just. the way arthur jumps up at that with his hand on his sword? and he's just standing there unsure if he should do something? i don't know if it's just a reflex but everything about this scene just breaks me so much.

and also we get some hints from other exchanges that uther has locked arthur up for disobeying orders before or at least threatened him to do so (and it's obvious that arthur's emotionally abused anyway) so his reaction to uther's anger at first (hanging his head down, standing to the side, looking away) is typical response to a bully: just make yourself as small as possible, don't provoke them, don't do anything and they'll stop, they'll go away, but then uther comes at morgana and suddenly arthur jumps up and ugh I'm not mentally stable enough for this.

Sometimes world feel to unreal for me. Who are they? Where I am? Everything in front of me is blurry and foggy. I can't say anything these times. My moves are weird and don't feel like mine. My mind is empty. The only thing I can feel is the bitter taste of humiliation.

I want a friend to be quiet with because silence is the most beautiful music i've ever heard.

I want it so much because I easily get tired when I am talking to someone and that person is often getting even more tired of myself. Having a friend who is just here and don't say anything is my greatest dream. Would you be my friend but never talk to me?
