I've suffered from severe pain and multiple fainting spells this past two week due to my severe anemia and my inability to afford all the medications I need because of their high cost. Worse still, I was injured when our house was bombed while we were inside. I was hit by shrapnel that is still embedded in my body, and I need urgent surgery to remove it. I'm really afraid for my friend Fadel. He was hospitalized again this week for severe anemia. He was recently discharged again, but his condition is not stable. He has been fainting and his family is terrified each time they find him unconscious that he could be dead.
This is the reality: Fadel is one of 20,000 people who need medical evacuation through Rafah crossing. He needs to raise money for his travel and treatment, and he urgently needs to buy medication to avoid dying.
