Oh no, my wonder is not "childlike." My whimsy is old. My frivolity is steeped in ancient wisdom.
My silliness is battle worn. My awe at the world has been long forged through trial & tribulation.
I have earned this wonderment. I have protected it for decades against a society that tells me constantly that it should not belong to me.
I was born with wonder, and I have carried it, against all odds, with me through adulthood.
It is not "childlike" by now it is Older than me.
I hope I'm not just a blog to you guys but also a gateway to acquire secondhand knowledge of medias you'll never get into
one of the hardest but most necessary things ever is realizing when ur being a dick or being really reactive to smth you shouldnt or being kinda toxic/guilt trippy/passive aggressive and youve gotta be able to take a step back and recognize that ur feeling that and why and then try to counter it intentionally by remembering that your behavior probably isn't helping the situation & the other people around you dont deserve that. this is hard but it is something u can do, please practice it
it helps a lot to learn as a habit bc now when i feel myself getting bitter and rude i kinda go "ok. i don't like the way i'm acting. why am i acting like that." and usually the answer is to politely excuse myself from the situation and let people involved know that i need some space and i will talk to them again when i'm feeling less reactive. taking some space to think about it is super helpful because if you engage with things that upset you while you're in the heat of that bad emotion, you'll say things you regret. make less situations where you can do something regrettable if you can help it. you're not bad for feeling that way but it's your responsibility to recognize that your feelings cannot be taken out on others and you need to go deal with that yourself

as soon as the internet decided depression and anxiety were the everyman mental illnesses and therefore not to be taken seriously we were all fucked tbh bc the fact that i have to feel embarrassed to admit i have debilitating anxiety because people will think im just an uwu dont call me out coward is ridiculous. its insane that i have to clarify that my depressive episodes are like life threatening and not whatever dipshit dumbed down idea of depression people seem to have like oh yeah i just wanna watch netflix and eat ice cream and not text people back. like bro i think im the devil
like maybe depression and anxiety are household names now but they do still kill people. like. theres a reason they fucking kill people.
