Currently I'm I was binging all the canon episodes of Bleach. I got to episode Shinji attacks Aizen and got sick of it so quit... I'll go back eventually. I may watch filler arcs in Spanish dub.

Review of Is It Gods Will by Brandon Ambrosino

As a non-Christian, with a Religious Studies minor, I had hoped this book would give me interesting insight (I read one on the same topic by a Jewish Rabbi that was excellent). But if anything I walk away from the book feeling like the Christian God is a 10 year old who broke his toy truck and doesn't know how to fix it.

He claims the other Gods of psalm 82 don't have names and are generic (page 169), of course they do, multiple Gods of other nationalities are mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. He talks about how this God (italics his not mine) is special because he cares for "widows and orphans"

Okay so what happens when other Gods do too?

"She is concerned for the orphan and concerned for the widow. She does not forget the man who helps others, she is a mother for the orphan; [Nanše], a carer for the widow, who always finds advice for the debt-slave; the lady who gives protection for refugees. She seeks out a place for the weak"— Hymn to Nanše line 20-31

Why is the God For Us (italics, since the author really likes those) any better than Nanše?

This seems like copium from someone who can't give up Nicaean Christianity but also can't accept what Nicaean Christianity has believed/taught for over a thousand years.

And most annoyingly, I feel like if you are going to explain The One God of The Universe your understanding and explanation of that God should be understandable in most languages... I'm not sure this book would make sense in any other language; his use of italics, constructed words "godding" "mean-able", and "theopoetics" makes it hard to follow at times and makes his argument rest heavily on the English language.

Just cleared all my Youtube watch history.... so lost all places in anything I was in the middle of watching. But my recommendations really needed my history to be wiped

I'm just binging ATC/Plane situations (because I just came down with an infection of unknown variety thus not moving cuz its all achey) and... I am not a pilot, I am not an aircraft engineer, I don't play any flight sims, I have flown a plane all of once in my life for like 10 minutes (with my mom silently panicking in the back).

So I suddenly felt super weird watching these I think because I'm not using headphones for the first time; so it makes me realize how bizarre it must seem that I'm passing the time by listening to ATC communications. Like I felt privately embarrassed.... then I remembered the channel has 670k subscribers so I'm definitely not the only one. Hooray for my weirdness???

Is it weird I feel like I'd have less stress learning how to fly a plane than how to drive a car?

A LAWYER JUST BROUGHT HIS RELIGION INTO THE COURT ROOM WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ??????? YOU'RE THE DEFENSE LAWYER WHY IS YOUR RELIGION A LEGAL ARGUMENT HOW IS A LAWYER ALLOWED TO DO THAT??????

He's NOT just a witness who happens to be a lawyer he's is the DEFENDANTS lawyer. How is he allowed to give Catholicism's tenants as a LEGAL defense that should be weighed during LEGAL SENTENCING. If a lawyer pulled out an aspect of Sharia (Islamic law) or Halakhah (Jewish law) as a legal argument for their clients LEGAL SENTENCING everyone would be in a fucking outrage.

It baffled me when the plantiffs lawyer said to the Afroman jury that a higher power brought those jurors to the case so it would be decided correctly

As someone who's had blunted affect at times I hate it so much. It can be prevalent when watching true crime or even just a commentary video about someone people don't like; usually appearing in comments. "Souless eyes," "his eyes show his guilt," "eyes show its fake." I hate it because I don't want someone to think it of me just because I can't show my emotions normally. Blunted emotions and blunted affect are different. With blunted affect I could feel my emotions strongly like I'm wailing in grief or laughing so hard I can't breathe but the face/body shows only slight emotions that match it. ...worse you don't necessarily realize you're experiencing blunted/flat affect.

Reading Quantum Physics by Rebecca Mileham (on his page 52/171)

I think this is the first time I ever connected the dots that Schrödingers' Cat is a thought experiment about superposition and wave function collapse.... I literally never realized that. I feel kinda stupid since I very vaguely understand the basic idea of superposition but never connected the dots since I don't think they've ever been connected for me prior. (I learned superposition via learning about quantum computing so no cats were involved)

I think I might be too dumb for this book, or at least for my learning type— I'd do better with audio. For the first 2 chapters this seems much mote like a timeline history of discovering quantum physics, rather than a "guide" to fully understanding it. Albeit I'm having issues with the visual representation, but again thats probably a me thing, so I'm probably getting less out of the book then someone whose good with learning from the visuals.

The dual topic theme continues throughout the book I've realized that reading this book is like trying to study two topics at the same time 1.) Timeline History of the Discovery of Quantum Mechanics 2.) Quantum Mechanics and the various experiments that proved it. My brain has a hard time with this two at once and to be very frank #1 is very prominent and I don't care about the topic. Way too many names and dates that my concentration goes wonky. I want to (and probably will)?finish the book but its not the book for me. Although page 92-93 of the Standard Model was well done.... but I already know all the info about the standard model so I might not be the best judge of if it was done wall (I don't know the math just the concepts).

Getting more difficult for me to want to finish this book. I understand topics I already know something about, don't really grasp the concepts I don't already know. My eyes are starting to glaze over the words every time a date and name is mentioned because I couldn't care less about learning both the Physics and the History of Physics at the same time

The parts of the book where I wasn't being taught a history lesson at the same time as being taught the physics were much more enjoyable. I also learned about Quantum Biology which I had never heard of, its fascinating. I skimmed through quantum technology though because I wasn't finding it interesting.
